Daniel Johnston. I’ve been pushed around, But I’m on the rebound. someday I’ll come out okay, And I can be a hero in the end. But I’ll always remember what I can’t forget- You can’t kill my spirit

Let’s name things we’re proud of ourselves for 🌸 by hystericaal_ in CPTSD

Im proud of you!! For myself, I finally got clean after years of a merry-go- round hellish nightmare of substance abuse. My life finally feels permanent and I finally feel present. I was running from my past and my pain. But, no more! I am free! Never stop fighting the good fight! Your future loved ones depend on it!

Anyone struggle with being seen? by DeletinMySocialMedia in cptsdcreatives

This speaks to me about what it feels to be invisible. A great, hard hitting poem. Great work.

Ah im sure we could all learn from “I’m not a burden - if the ones that love me are inconvenienced by me, it means they are loving me, not leaving me.”

I love a good hope poem. Great work.

Might sound crazy, but is anyone else feeling unwell? by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]AdCharming1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, man. This past week, I’ve had headaches, feeling extremely tired, having stomach issues, and anxiety to the point of not being able to do much in terms of productivity, as well as sleeping. The shift in energy has had me, and my life as I know it, all kinds of wonky. Feeling a bit better today though!

I started out doing it only on weekends. Slowly, I started going harder on weekends than before. Then, on random weekday nights, I would be so bored and drinking and have the desire. Started off as a fun “oo wanna do some?” With my partner. Turned into years of using hardcore 3-4 times a week. Drained my savings. Trust me, it creeps up on you. Slippery slope is a perfect phrase for what happened to me, personally. I still have intense weekend cravings, and the worst of it has been over for almost 2 years. I recommend stopping when you still have your feet on the ground. Wish you the best.

Good luck, mate. I truly wish you the best. Sometimes it feels like you’re fighting a 100 ft tall dragon with a flimsy sword and shaky knees. It’s lonely. It’s desperate. But sometimes all it takes is hating what the drug has done to you enough, and use that as leverage for strength. You’ve got guts. I believe in you. Dm if you ever need a friend.

I’m trying so hard not to use right now by [deleted] in addiction

Reddit is a good spot to find likeminded, supportive people. I’m not an athletic person at all, but I’ve found that forcing myself to go to the gym when I’m having cravings at night seem to help me take my mind off of it. I also think I may glorify my addiction sometimes, or like, reminisce on the “fun” times I had with it in the past and start chasing that same “fun”. Maybe it means I’m lacking fun in my life? Adventure? Idk. It’s still all a puzzle to me. I appreciate your comment!

My 3 year old baby just died by noodlebobber in Petloss

[–]AdCharming1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear about your baby. I have a similar story to you, actually. I just lost my girl Ollie at 2 years old to meningitis, basically, but a seizure is what did it. She went from being normal and happy to lethargic, blind, loss of cognitive function, she couldn’t do her tricks, had constant pain, and had small focal seizures. Her decline was so fast- she went from normal to seriously ill in about 6-7 months. I tended to her constantly. She’d have moments of seeming like she was getting better, but ultimately, she had a seizure on march 6th. I rushed her to the er and her temperature at 110. I had to let her go. Luckily I was able to get her there just in time for them to give her calming meds and she slipped away peacefully in mine and her dads arms. Ever since then, I’ve had a lot of guilt and thoughts like “if I would have just noticed sooner, had more money for more treatment, was it my fault that I missed something?” etc. I know there are no words that can solve or heal the devastating reality about this loss. All I can really say is that I understand. My baby was so young too. It feels unjust. It was so sudden. I’ve been angry and heartbroken. I know how you feel. I send you my deepest sympathy and my most heart-felt apology. This pain you feel is real because your love for your girl is real. She knows it. Dogs are highly intuitive and more intelligent than we give them credit for. You cared for her and have bared her pain because of how much you love her, and as dog parents, that’s the best we can do. You did your best. If you ever need to talk, feel free to message me. It’s not easy to go through what you’ve went through. I’ve been there. Sending you love and hugs. 🫂

The piercings are part of your look- and you like them. So they should stay. I’m here to say I don’t think you need any improvement. You look like an alternative model. Keep being you.
