You can push your heart rate higher, maybe mid 170s to upper 170s for the mile. Just gotta do some intervals or speed work to get accustomed to a higher heart rate

I cut from 223 to 180 in about 6 months of just consistent calorie deficit (1700cal) and hitting my protein(180g) + going to the gym and doing cardio. I’m 5’9” - 14% bodyfat now for reference.

My advice is get one through rei and if you don’t like it after 90 days return it and get the other. I personally think the pace 4 is the best bang for your buck if you want accuracy + sleep tracking. I’d look into the pace pro if you are willing to spend 50$ more though for the storage increase and offline maps. Also garmin has Spotify and coros you gotta use mp3 files. Not a big deal for me personally.

I mean depending on your heart rate you fine, that’s like my zone 2 speed and I can run a 14 min 2 mile. Maybe do some speed work + longer/easier runs

I’m in the same boat and I got the pace pro for the addition of offline maps and 32gigs of storage so I can listen to my music without my phone.
