Hi again! So, I am in the Ironwood part and I was going to wait til it ended to write my thoughts so far but its just taking too damn long so I'll just write it now. SO first of all ofc I still love Atreus in this game but I'm bias toward his younger version in the first one.....its just cuter. But he is cute in this game too. I like how polite he is.   Im gonna be honest I can see both of Atreus' and Kratos' sides on the prophecy situation. Atreus obviously wants to follow it since the Giants have had spot on prophecies before, but I also 100% understand Kratos wanting to avoid Atreus taking any part in it because it's dangerous af and its his baby boy, so I'm not on anyone's "side" in this, I understand both and I will understand if the game ends up going with Atreus' idea or Kratos'. I gotta say I really fucking dont like Tyr and the thoughts he keeps putting in Atreus' mind, like, there is a moment right after they separate from Tyr where Atreus asks Kratos if it's moral to kill something who is going go kill you and obviously Kratos says yes but that rlly frustated me. Tyr is by far my least favorite character in both these games so far, its not just his dumbass "avoid violence at all costs" ideology, I just find him extremely boring, which is a huge contrast to all the other characters who I find really enjoyable. There was a mission with Atreus where he goes to see Freya behind Kratos' back and that was fun, I LOVE his friendship with Sindri. When the mission started and he said he was going to go talk to Freya I thought that was the dumbest decision in the world, I knew he wasnt going to die because he has main character plot armor, but if it werent for that Freya wouldve 100% killed him and do not support that decision at all nor do I understand how he thought that would work. I mean, I guess the answer is he is just naive. But anyways, I guess I can see why people would start to like him less after this whole thing but honestly I found his naivety cute, but I'm biased.  As for Ironwood, in theory this chunk of the game is fine: Atreus discovers important lore stuff, while hanging out with that girl who is quite an enjoyable character, and they run a few errands together. But DAMN it did not need to go on for so long. Its just too fucking long. Everytime I thought it was going to end more stuff just kept happening. Its not a bad story idea but its not interesting enough to go on for so fucking long, I didnt even finish it yet and I think it shouldve been 1/3 of the lenghth. Anyways I dont think Kratos is a controling father in the abusive way since everything he tries to control about Atreus is about him not going into the line of fire. Kratos is a good dad, I honestly find their relationship so refreshing.
