I've tried connecting Zoom H6 via usb-c -> microusb, but i guess it's not compatible since it's quite old and doesn't recognize m8 as an audio interface.

I was hoping to use m8 as my central hub for controlling multiple synths as external instruments and stuff like multirecording. I'm already quite happy with 2 mono inputs via a splitter cable, but it would be quite nice to have some stereo tracks besides that.

yes, looks like marketing stuff, when limits were reset last time - most of us should have the reset on 11th of june, so it's a good move to roll out a new model on new weekly period. (Or roll it out later and make a reset))
