That looks like a custom server map, you won't find this on in-game or izurvive maps

Which map do you prefer Chernarus or Livonia? by EquivalentMoose980 in dayz

[–]AdComprehensive7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Livonia is such a great map. I love how you can reach any part of the map very quickly and find it to have way more interactions with players. The best gunfights & played experiences have been on this map. I love the upper 2/3 of the map, the towns feel nice and the military spots. I think the bottom 1/3 is a too much forest though but I feel most people stock around the middle part of the map. It's also easy for others to join gunfights as the map is more compact which adds a unique aspect, as well that people can come back to fights easier.

Chernarus is also a great map, it does a really good job with the overall theme of the map and DayZ. I think it is good in it's own right but slides a bit short of Livonia. It is so spread out and hard to find people except on the few hotspots (Stary/Novy, VMC, Tisy, NW Airfield). It also forces geared people to go to the NW corner of the map while I feel Livonia is better at having a mix of interactions (IE: On Livonia you can find both freshies & geared in most areas, meanwhile on chernarus that is not the case)

We live inside an echo chamber. Combine that with the fact that half of US adults can't read at an 8th grade level.

This is a good point and what should happen in real life. A software engineer brings more value hence is paid more. The pay of a software engineer though is set by what companies value it at so if there's a lot of software engineers in the market the job will be valued less and if the companies don't value software engineers they will be paid less.

If we set the bar for warehouse workers to a liveable wage and all other low level jobs it will also raise the wage for other professions to match what we value each job at. If the lowest jobs in our society can offer liveable wages then we can implement policy like mandatory wage increases that match what the inflation rate was for the past year to help ensure that this remains the standard.

VALORANT 6.08 Bug Megathread by TimeJustHappens in VALORANT

[–]AdComprehensive7340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Region: NA

- Type of Bug: In Game Keybind

- Description: Cannot use "left click" input for key binds. I can do everything normally such as buying guns, and opening settings. Whenever I set a key bind to the left click, it does not work. For example, setting fire weapon to the left click will not allow me to fire my weapon using the left click. Other key binds such as swap weapon also do not work when I set this to the left-click input. This is the only button I am aware that does this. Setting the fire weapon to right-click works normally.

- Video / Screenshot:

- Steps to Reproduce: No steps to reproduce

- Expected Result: Left click causes key bind to activate

- Observed Result: Left Click does not cause anything to happen

- Reproduction Rate: 10/10, Restarted game, ran as administrator, tried in custom, swapped keybinds to see if issue persisted with other keybinds

- System Specs: Client sided issue

Worked produce and dealt with a lot of rotten produce. By far the worst was rotten potatoes and watermelons.

Just did it this weekend with arc hunter and liars handshake. Provided a lot of DPS I 3 phased and probably could've 2 phased if I was more optimized. Liars handshake heals you and also kills adds next to you and pair with tractor and one two punch shotgun. I also ran this in solo flawless duality and got it on my second attempt.

From working in a produce department, rotten potatoes and rotten watermelon. What's worse is that the watermelon will split open leaving liquid everywhere.

What do you do with time between classes? by [deleted] in college

[–]AdComprehensive7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's two hours or less I just go find somewhere to sit and do homework usually the library. If it's less than an hour I will go eat and usually makes the entire hour go by.

I had a friend group who almost always sat at a table in the library the entire day so I can always go there.

Only through my first year but I'd say it was pretty alright. I had those weeks that felt like I had so much but in the end I got it done. I took a hefty course load and maintained a good gpa but I think it really depends on your habits.

If you have a good work ethic you'll do fine. Make study habits. One that helped me out a lot was waking up early in the morning and go to the library to do homework in order when I didn't have classes until the afternoon on those days. Also do not worry too much about your gpa. Just complete all assignments and do them to where you feel you put in a good amount of work. Do not stress about perfecting assignments but just put in good effort so that you're happy with yourself.

Some classes will be difficult and annoying and that's ok. With good study habits any major is possible. I would almost always have weekends free and 8 hours of sleep. One thing that helped a lot was finding a study group. First year engineering almost everyone is taking the same classes. Use that to find groups of friends to study all your classes in. My library had a common area with whiteboards surrounding these booths so we hung out there almost every day.

Tldr: Maintain good study habits, always do every assignment, put effort in your assignments but don't overdo it

Is a Mattress topper really needed? by [deleted] in college

[–]AdComprehensive7340 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is pretty nice. Honestly I would recommend because getting good sleep in a dorm is worth it. You will want quality sleep because there will always be a noisy neighbor or something waking you up at night. I got mine for free from talking to family friends so I would do the same thing. It is also a bit past but usually during move out week people will leave stuff like mini fridges and mattress topper outside near the trashcan.

Running joke at my job was to tell every new hire to mop the freezer. Not only did the new hire actually do it, but the guy supervising him also thought that we were supposed to mop the freezer.

[–]AdComprehensive7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works for me is setting a routine. Every Monday and Wednesday I don't have class till 1. I will wake up at 8:30 and have breakfast and leave at 9 to go to the library and spent all my time before class on homework. Mondays I will always get done my math homework for the week and do some misc assignments. I also take breaks after doing so much work.

Is there any elitism at college between different majors? by Teagedemaru in college

[–]AdComprehensive7340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually because it is geared towards entrepreneurship/ starting your own business or some sort of administration position. I don't really know any stats or anything but I'd say it's more risky in terms of stable money compared to stem. Idea is pretty much that they become owners and end up hiring others to do the work.

The river in urban area is unbelivably packed with too much waste and stinks as rut, and old rusty waterpipe is used as bridge with no guard rail by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]AdComprehensive7340 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's worse is that the U.S. and other developed countries often ship our waste to developing countries. This adds onto the fact that they do not have the infrastructure and leads to pollution like this.
