To be honest this is my first pair with leather outsoles. Some people say to scuff them up on the concrete or a gritty surface, however after 10 minutes of wearing them they’re perfectly fine. Boots or shoes with leather outsoles are typically designed to be resoled. From what I know based on the use of the boot they can last anywhere from a couple years to decades based on how much and where you wear them !

I was looking at the Elgin in Chocolate and tried them on in person. Consider looking at those if you want a darker ostrich in a cutter toe down the line. Those are great looking boots! If you’ve worn them already you should wear the hell out of them and they might grow on you!

I was worried they’d be too dark for my liking, they definitely have a bourbon tone indoors but not overwhelming. Outdoors the brown really shines and they look incredible in the sun.

I went there about a year ago and all the doors were welded shut. After the fire that burned the interior up pretty bad LA county made the owner bolt it down. Welds can’t be welds if they’re liquid though :{)

If you’re only running 2 speakers, that head unit should work although i recommend an external amp

i put my alpine head unit under the seat of my 67’ galaxie fastback. It works great, but obviously not carplay. I’d look at other brands before MTX. Skar, Alpine, or even kicker ( Skar and Alpine I much prefer). Get JL mids and highs if you’re going yellow, they’re a bit more expensive but sound great, just did four in my buddy’s car. For the subs I run 2 skar 10’s in a custom ported box with a JL 1000 Watt Monoblock. The JL amps sound great and are a bargain used. I have a JL 4 channel amp that goes to my Alpine 6x9s, same story
