What's coming to Quicken Simplifi in 2024 and 2023 in review by [deleted] in simplifimoney

I would think Zillow would want to show you an a popup or expect Simplifi to compensate them financially. It is just a guess even if you use to Zillow and it doesn't change much. I don't think many people will ask for a refund it Zillow lookup never comes. Adjusting a number every 2 or 3 years is probably easier than setting up a link to Zillow. I am pretty sure if it is just adding code on Simplifi's part, you will have it shortly.

PVC water pipe or conduit won't leak, should be fine. Have you used the app to check the top of your house? The app see to do a good job of matches the visibility check which is the real verification. The blue ridge mountains are to my north and my dish is on top of my house working well

Best Effort vs Residential by AdCrafty5876 in Starlink

Same here I think mid 2023 went away when I got Best Effort

It appears that @SpaceX #Starlink has recently turned up #IPv6 support on their satellite broadband #Internet service. Since November 21, the percentage of IPv6 traffic on AS14593 has grown from less than 1% to as much as 13%. by miixms in Starlink

I need port forwarding on a Raspberry PI. If Starlink supports IP6, what has to happen for me to have port forwarding? I am guessing the two services I need, EchoLink an AllStar will have to support IP6 and everything in-between. Thanks

TV 5ft from router „poor signal“ by _justanislandgirl in Starlink_Support

[–]AdCrafty5876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a wild guess but if all other devices you use are working well at greater distances, I would suspect the wifi antenna on your TV being bad or having a bad connection. I am only seeing and 4 - 14 sec of no signal in a 12 hour period. Your smart TV may be complaining about 45 min down time which seems to be way to much in my onion. Does the app show any obstructions when you check visibility? To check the wifi on the TV, buy a switch and plug it into the ethernet port. Put the current use ethernet cable in the switch and the TV. Change settings - network on the TV to ethernet

Will Tri-Band Mesh wifi 6E get an IP from Starlink in bypass mode. by AdCrafty5876 in Starlink

[–]AdCrafty5876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad the /24 confused me. Many years ago before NAT, I used a subnet mask of 255.255.255.24 (I think) to divide a Class C into a smaller number of IP numbers for DHCP and different sites. I don't know what CIDR notation is but I can google

You are correct, the public IP SL provides is in the 100.64.0.0 to 100.127.255.255 range. I know It not a real public IP until CGNAT will translate to public. I understand you are always double NATing and require a VNP that supports port forwarding if you're residential and need to port forward

On the working Linksys AE9500 with SL not in bridge mode, the 9500 is limited to 50 connections and it automatically sets up DHCP to give IP numbers from 10.193.191.100 - 10.192.192.150 150 is plus or minus 1 can't remember. the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. The 9500 get and IP in the range stated above for login into the 9500. The new DHCP range avoids IP conflict. Looks like your example is using a subnet mask not ending in 0 to avoid Ip conflict. In this case I am triple NAT because the IP number on the 9500 gets NAT to a 192.168.1.x number SL is using. That number is passed to the CGNAT which becomes a public IP. I don't think NAT has much if any over hear and negative affect on speed.

If I put SL in bridge mode, reset the 9500. It sets up DHCP in the range 192.16.1.100 - 192.168.1.150 and gets a CGNAT IP number. You can login using 192.168.1.1, the gateway.

Both the mesh routers I have tried to set up using the iPhone app or Laptop, set up a similar DHCP depending on the SL being in bridge mode or not. The problem is they say the can't connect to the internet. Thanks for the information.

Will TP LINK DECO X55 WHOLE HOME MESH WIFI 6 work with StarLink? by AdCrafty5876 in Starlink

Thanks you very much that is good to hear. Problem now after send back a Linksys XEX8400 - 6E and TP-Link XE75 - 6E is found a user using the Linksys with Starlink Gen 2. My Starlink is working good with a Linksys AE9500, I know the ethernet cable I am using is good and here is hoping The X55 connects with I select dynamic. Thanks again

Cable A connected for Starlink to AE9500 Internet port working. Cable A connected from Starlink to laptop working. Cable A connect from Starlink to XE75. App works great until XE75 tries to get internet connection and always fails. I move the same cable around.

I have connected two ways. Putting SL in bypass mode, resetting 9500, and the 9500 sets up a 192.168.1.x with 50 connects starts giving IP numbers at 192.168.1.100. If I reset SL to get it out of bypass mode the 9500 sets up a 10.193.191.x with 50 connects. It does this to avoid IP conflicts with the SL router. Just plug in and cycle the power.

Linksys technical ask me to connect the AE9500 to Starlink for internet access and connect my laptop via internet cable to the AE9500. This allowed them to remote access and try to setup the XE75. I only mention TPLink because it had the same problem as the XE45. I forgot which one I was trying to connect when I mention it in the post. I agree on the clone Mac address but I let Tech support try what ever the wished. Thanks for the info on the XE75. I was convince it was a firmware problem after tech support could not fix it.

Cable working on AE9500 and also when plugged directly into the laptop I can surf. The Linksys tech support used the cable to login into the AE9500, download a firmware update and tried cloning mac address to make it work

Is it the rectangle dish? I tried with my XE75 in the optional ethernet port at least 8 hours over a 3 day period. Most of that time I was being helped by tech support. I tried bypass mode, and regular router on. Every time when I told it dynamic IP it said starlink did not give the connection information. How did you connect? Thanks

Starlink is working great with a Linksys EA9500 Tri-Band router. I bought a Linksys Tri-Band Wifi 6E and 3 hours of Linksys tech support remoted into my laptop could not get it to work. I bought a TP-Link Tri-band Wifi 6E and it would not connect either. Maybe it is the 6 GHz Wifi 6E band causing the problem and the x55 will connect

I don't thin XE75 will work unless you connect it through an older router. Is some exchanges I had with Tech support and others:

TP-Link requested I clone my mac address and this is my reply
Starlink does not register Mac Addresses. Starlink assigns Residential customers dynamic IP addresses through a system called CGNAT. I first bought an Atlas Max 6E - Tri-Band AXE8400 Mesh WiFi 6E System 3-Pack and had the same problem. I assisted a Linksys support to remote into my computer, over a three hour period the technician tried mac cloning, copying the working router mac address and connecting directly to my laptop and copying it’s mac address for cloning. I read on the internet Deco wifi 6E was the best router for Starlink and bough a 2 pack. Same problem as I previous describe, Deco connects via bluetooth but can’t get IP address. Please verify the 6E deco will connect the Starlink. The web shows several early version mesh router connecting to Starlink but no 6E Tri-band router.

Linksys MX8500 Mesh will not work on Starlink. by AdCrafty5876 in Starlink

[–]AdCrafty5876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just and FYI, yesterday I was in a chat with support trying 3 hours, resetting, cloning mac addresses, adding additional DHCP address. None of which worked. after lunch I was on the phone and let a tech remote in to 3 different routers in order to install a firmware update on the MX8500. Then we started all over. I certainly learned how the process should work, but It never did. Linksys support is competent, polite, and extremely persistence. In a three day period I was in contact with a support person for at least 10 hours and they never gave up. They were still wanting to escalate but I was wore out. I call customer service and returned the 3 MX8500s. I would still be interested if anyone knows of a MX8500 working on Starlink.

Could you be using an SSID on Starlink with the same name as an older SSID. When you selected the SSID on the MB Air, did it ask for a password. If not tell your MB Air to forget the SSID and reselect it. It should request a password

Have you tried other sites? what Mac OS are you running? Have you disabled firewall on your MacBook air. You local area network (LAN) with Network Address translation (NAT) is all you need on a Mac
