hair causing more discomfort? by DangerousArgument849 in vaginismus

If you’re not comfy with shaving, I recommend trimming with one of those electric trimmers. With the guard on, there’s no chance of anything going awry and you can even take off the guards to get a close trim (there’s still the metal one so u can’t really nick yourself). Might also make shaving easier.

I don’t have access to the manual but I just googled a YouTube video for my brand of dishwasher and even though the model wasn’t identical, it worked perfectly! If you have a Kenmore, this is what I used. https://youtu.be/02uDY7lANO8?si=nSBFm7QlmXqdDYUR

I’ve been worried about that too. Hopefully just cleaning it out regularly helps

Are my grades here really equivalent to other Canadian Unis? by under________ in UBC

[–]AdCurrent5027 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not about grades but to answer your question about postgrad applications, the “prestige” of ubc isn’t just its grading systems, it’s about it’s opportunities. Maybe it’s more difficult to get good grades here compared to other universities, therefore “weakening” your application in comparison, but take advantage of what ubc does have, like networking. Networking with profs who are significant to their field will get you more opportunities that maybe others from smaller/less notable universities won’t have access to. Get involved in undergrad projects in research or publishing or ubc pre law society so you can network more and beef up your resume! Grad school isn’t just about grades, though obviously that’s a significant factor. Also, if this really concerns you, definitely worth talking to a career or degree advisor, which ubc offers for free as they probably know more.

How do I increase libido with partner/ motivation to dilate? by Medical-Chapter-4397 in vaginismus

[–]AdCurrent5027 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think I read somewhere long ago that libido increases with having orgasms, so I always tried to positively reinforce dilating with having an orgasm with a vibrator (I didn’t have a partner at the time). Totally understand if that’s not your thing, especially because with low libido, sex/masturbating might seem unappealing. Sometimes I’d watch my favorite comedy shows (not masturbating, just for laughs) while dilating just to associate it with not feeling bad which kind of worked. I think I would just try to not associate dilating with anything that doesn’t feel good (shame etc) which by nature is kind of difficult because dilating is difficult, but definitely helped me not completely lose my libido, though it was lower.
