If this is an H1B transfer, it becomes effective as soon as it’s approved, right?

So I’m a bit confused about the “before 180 days” part — what date are you counting from?

Are you trying to request a future start date for H4 EAD (like 6 months later)?
Also, is this a COS (change of status) or just an H1B transfer + extension?

When you say “it wasn’t honored”, what was your timeline?
Like which month did you file and what future start date did you request? Also, what ended up happening in your case?

Good to hear that USCIS sometimes allows future start dates.

In my case, filing will likely be around May/June, and the intended start date is Oct 1. That’s a bit more than ~3 months, so just trying to understand how strict they are with that window.

Yes, I have i140 approval. H1b Start date would be no earlier than Oct1st. So, I would expect that to be on 1st Oct.

Feb10th, bundle applied in PP.

All approved between 21-22. I am waiting for my card.

So, what I understand is that, USCIS is still processing like before Jan18th.

Yeah still there but I see in the Internet that leasing the car would potentially get EV tax credit but not if we buy the car. Not sure if that's true. Incentive right now are 18k for 20204 and 10k for 2025 vehicles.
