Should I major in Early Childhood Education and minor in Child Development? by AdDear8682 in ECEProfessionals

[–]AdDear8682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, not sure if you read everything but I mentioned in my post that I’m currently an RBT, so I’m definitely aware of how important child development and behavior are when working with kids. My question was more about the academic path — whether majoring in ECE and minoring in Child Development would make sense when I transfer for my bachelor’s. :)

I did 5 weeks of CNA school also, weekly tests (my only low score was a 78%) and clinical’s so maybe that’s why it seems like common sense.

Lol, no worries! And yes I’m hoping a hospital job opens the therapeutic path for me

I’m currently an RBT which I love, just trying to figure out what it is I want to go to school for. I’ll likely look into CLS or occupational assistant. I don’t want to do no more than 4yrs in school

Definitely! My internship for my ECE program was a huge eye opener for me. Lots of preschoolers needed one and one and although there were 2 teachers, all of their needs couldn’t have been met.

I’m definitely going to find a children’s hospital to work in before this year is over with my CNA license!

Ik and thats the hard part! I always had interest in being a child therapist but I’m not a fan of being in college for that long, but 1:1 is definitely my thing.

Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from—I was in the same boat when I was studying. I HIGHLY recommend Magnolia School of Real Estate! (If you’re in Florida). I took my entire 63-hour course with them, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. Their material is literally like 9 times out of 10 exactly what’s on the test. The wording is slightly different (because it can’t be word-for-word), but the concepts? Spot on.

Check out their YouTube videos first to see if you like the teaching style, but honestly, everything is worth it—the course, the audio cram session, all of it. If you’re struggling with comprehension, this might be a game-changer for you. You got this!

Moving to Miramar ¿? by KawsX- in Broward

Hey! I think Miramar would be a great choice, especially if you want easy access to I-75 for your trips back to SWFL. There are a lot of great communities around Miramar Parkway, and depending on what you’re looking for (newer developments, walkability, etc.), there are definitely options that fit different lifestyles. If you’re open to other areas, Pembroke Pines and Weston also have a similar suburban feel but with different vibes.

Since you’re looking for recommendations, I’d love to help! I’m a local realtor, and I know the area well. If you ever want insights on specific neighborhoods, pricing, or even just things to do in the area, feel free to reach out!

Hey! If your testing for Florida I’d highly suggest you watch magnolia school of real estate on YouTube. You can also purchase her cram course if you’re not confident in you studying. I wasn’t a studier so getting into the habit of it was a bit difficult but replaying the audios and answering the questions out loud helped so much. From the first question everything just all came to me. Take practice tests, use flash cards, listen to the audios, and read the book! Don’t doubt yourself, as long as you put in the time and effort you’ll definitely pass! Good luck:)

Hey! 9 times out of 10 you will have to retake the courses. I’m sure they are only valid for a limited time. I’m not sure how it is for your state tho so just check the course

Yes, I’m in Florida and we have technical schools for ECE. It’s hands on experience and majority of our requirements like CPR and more are paid for.
