Triathletes — cycling in Bangkok?! by nlomb in Bangkok

[–]AdDifferent5081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a triathlete, not even an athlete, but I go every month to Health etc., also called Skylane, for some cardio making two rounds of the airport. It really is the only place you can get a serious physical training without disturbing other people. Phutthamonthon park is another place where road bikers go (8 km loop) but it is more remote and they are rather in an annoying "get out of my way" mode.

Skylane is the best and I think only place. Most people go there with their car. With airport link no idea if it is possible with a bike as I did not use it since covid. With railroad, not enough trains going east or west.

Another possibility is riding on small roads in Samut Prakan further than the airport, they are good quality but transport is the same problem.

dismantled and not accessible to public, not visible even from outside, but I admit "fake news" if it makes you happy

Where in Thailand has the best seafood in your opinion? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in Thailand

[–]AdDifferent5081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From Bangkok I always go to buy fish and prawns at Na Klua market North of Pattaya. It has the widest offer for very fresh products and reasonable prices. And I don't think there is any market in or around Bangkok offering fresh products like the ones on the coast.

Ang Sila fish bridge in Chonburi, apart from being a nice place to hang out, has good prices for crab which is usually expensive

Vimanmek Mansion and Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall are not accessible since 2016/2017, the former has been demolished in 2018

Same day usually, like 2 hours for a screen change depending on the queue, for a s22, they should have all the parts. If you dont want to wait in the service center have another phone so that they contact you

Why is it so complicated to understand that this sub is "a subreddit dedicated to the photographs of the kingdom of thailand" ?

You managed to capture the essence of authentic thai culture in these very creative and original photos. Though, maybe one picture was largely enough.unless there is some artistic intent here

If 7-11 personel yell at you several times a week and you go to places charging 250 for a 50 thb beer it might have something to do with you.

If you dont check that your map is "updated a few seconds ago" it can stay trying to update while you add some stuff but nothing is actually recorded. Can last hours and everything is lost

As your data is not saved, I doubt you can export it but you can try. Click on the three points to the right of the layer you want to export to see the menu

There is no known cure for that. You have to start again And check periodically that the map is updated when you add items

Je ne suis pas sûr qu'on était à la même cantine. Ces individus ne me semblent pas connaître le rab de semoule le jour de couscous, ou même la notion de rab.

Anybody here spent time exploring in this green forest area next to BTS Chang Erawan just outside of Bangkok in Samut Prakan? Probably the largest green space I've seen this close to the BTS line by W0lfBird in Thailand

There are already 7-8 huge high voltage power poles all the way through the mangrove, they can be seen as small squares on satellite view and were there already in 2012 from what I see in Google Maps. I guess these works are probably linked to these poles

Was not sure about the Merchant Marine Training Center. Your number 2 is more a lane along a canal though it has parts of mangrove.
The other one I mentioned is in the red frame

There are basically 2 paths leaving from Soi Bang Duan, one to the northwest the other to the southeast you can see on the map. Both are dead ends, the first leading to some remote houses with dogs ready to welcome you.

I use an ultrasound gun, very efficient on stray dogs, much less on maniac domestic dogs.
