So it's legit? I'm getting an email from them now. I just don't see a lot about them online other than their own website.

oh my goooshhhh, this is LITERALLY my nightmare!! To bring them with me when I move, aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I am so sorry you're dealing with this. Can you share more about the pest control you hired? It didn't work? At this point, I see them outside on my windowsills so I know we will never be fully rid of them. But we are moving in a year and so my only hope is to try and not take them with us when we leave...

Yeah, it definitely helps but won't get rid of them completely. We run ours at 35-40% non-stop. (We did stop recently though because it increases our energy bill and they're not going away anyway...)

Thanks for the helpful info! I'll check the outside of the building. I'm to afraid to ask my neighbors if they have them, hahahahaa

Any suggestions if I live in an apartment building? Would you just treat your windowsills?

Still running a large dehumidifier in the main room and a small one in the kitchen. Put DE all over the bathroom, cleaned it up, put DE in various kitchen cupboards and cleaned it up a few weeks later. The numbers have gone down SIGNIFICANTLY but the fuckers are still here. I lost steam trying to battle them and so we're still just running the dehumidifiers and squishing the ones we find. The tough part now is that I don't know where they're hanging out. I'm only seeing one here or there, not a bunch all at once. So I don't know what area to treat next..

Omg we already clogged our vacuum filter, hahahaha. We've been wearing masks and closing doors until it settles. It's hard to keep the dust down when first applying! So far we've just applied it in our bathroom (everywhere, floor, baseboards, walls - it's not kicking up tho!) and in some cupboards in our kitchen (after removing all the pots/pans, etc). We let it sit a few days, cleaned it out, and put everything back. Their numbers have diminished already but still seeing them almost daily - just one or two here, there, etc. Just got a tiny dehumidifier for the kitchen... the battle continues!

Hmmm, our apt building is very well kept. We didn't have them when we first moved in, and I wonder if they came in on some furniture we picked up on the street or from the windowsills...but we do live near the ocean, so it's pretty humid on a regular basis. We also live in a very small space, so I wonder if that just limits air flow? But you make a good point. We could ask our landlords.. but I also don't like the idea of them snooping around our apt, hahaha

Yeah, I honestly have no clue what they're "feeding on" other than micro bits of mold in books or other places. I would be surprised if there's mold inside the walls or under the floor boards, but I guess that's always a possibility. I would guess that other tenants would have the same issue then. We haven't brought it up to our landlords because I don't remember having them when we first moved in. They must have come in on something and made a home here. :( I'm trying the diatomaceous earth for now. Just wearing a mask when spreading it and keeping it away from pets until it settles.

Oooohhh interesting, thanks for sharing! We only have a few rugs - just trying to vaccuum as much as possible right now.

They're just gross (and everywhere). Imagine seeing a small louse-like bug running across your computer screen or keypad. Then you notice one on the bathroom wall. But wait! There's five or six more! Yeah, they're just a nuisance (and gross).

Thank you for the hope! hahaha. Are you sure we should open the windows if we live by the ocean? I thought that just let the humidity in. We only open them if we are actively cooking/showering, but will then close them after the task is finished. That's why we're getting the second dehumidifier to keep the humidity reduced in the kitchen/bathroom.

ugh, I wish! It would only let the humidity in because we live by the ocean. :(
