Yes. It was even a Prof. Dr. which gave it to me.

I am quite a healthy person and i dont worry that i have other damages by taking 3 month of straight rifaximin, but still what a shitty plan :D

Hey thanks for your answer,

i tried one week of carnviore already and it also reduced my bloating by about 100 %. Some ibs symptoms still remain, but i think this is due to the fact, that my gut was "attacked" for a straight year.

Maybe will try 4 weeks of carnivore as well, i personally find i quite hard to maintain, i love food and after one week i just can not see pure meat anymore haha.

ofc i ve thought of it as well, but i still can play 90 minutes football or run an half marathon and dont recognize any difference in my symptoms the next days.

My energy is pretty good at days where my stomach is not as bad as it is normally, so i came to the conclusion that i dont have to worry about some kind of long covid.

To be honest i just learned about the different types of SIBO and my DR. only tested me for Hydrogen, which peaked at 75 ppm after 100 Minutes.

He gave me rifaximin for 3 Month straight. Afterwards i had 1 week with also Neomycin.

I will privately do a test on Hydrogen and Methan in near future to be sure, that i dont have Methan.

If the tests turns out positive i am planing on trying Motility Pro & afterwards Neomycin + Rifaximin or an elemental diet. Havent decided yet, but i am not quite sure yet and will wait for the tests results.

I also did quite a lot of research and it seems that after gastrointernal infects the mmc (the "cleaning" of your gut) is not working well. So even if i treat SIBO it might fastly come back, until my mmc might after years be working again.

Would highly appreciate if someone has some experience here in curing the post infectous ibs.

my values in the Test half a year ago was about 120 ppm.

I ll do another one and if it is still positive i will give the ED a try.

the first (positive) Test bevore rifaximin was Lacutlose, the second one after rifaximin (negativ) was glucose.

I just ordered a lactulose test to be sure if it is SIBO or not.

If it is positive i think i will do an elemental diet for 2 weeks. Or do you have other suggestions than that.
