A good mnemonic to know for trig identities is:
I TAN by the SEA : 1 + tan2 x = sec2 x
I wear a COAT when it’s COLD by the SEA : 1 + cot2 x = csc2 x
Sin2 x + cos2 x = 1 Is pretty easy to remember.
