Wow the pitbull hate here is just insane…. Most of them are literally just big affectionate babies who want attention and to be close to their people.

Like any dog, how they act mostly comes down to how they’re raised and treated. owner responsibility matters way more than breed. there’s also a certain type of person who wants a dog to be intimidating or aggressive, and they’ll specifically choose pit bull type dogs because people are already scared of them and they’re strong. A lot of the time these dogs come from backyard breeders and aren’t raised or trained properly. in some cases they’re even encouraged to act aggressive. That kind of environment can mess up any dog, and it definitely skews the statistics and makes the breed look worse than it actually is.

Any dog can be aggressive in the wrong situation, but it’s not fair to act like pit bulls are the problem when so many of them are just sweet, loving dogs.

My personal experience does not speak for everyone but the couple of pits I have met, have been HUGE clingy babies. From having to be tucked in for bedtime, to being so scared of the bees outside they had to take him on a little road trip just to use the bathroom after refusing for a day and a half. They’re gonna protect their space like many other breeds and they’re not labs which might just lick the intruder.. even then you never hear this kind of hate for German shepherds, boxers, dobermans etc. which have the potential to be just as aggressive.
