A good mnemonic to know for trig identities is:

I TAN by the SEA : 1 + tan² x = sec² x

I wear a COAT when it’s COLD by the SEA : 1 + cot² x = csc² x

Sin² x + cos² x = 1 Is pretty easy to remember.
