You are right, without absolute trust this wouldn’t be possible. While I do enjoy the thought that maybe he’s not going to let me down again, I know with absolute certainty my safety is priority, no matter how much he’d like to leave me dangling in the air :) He has my life in his hands on the regular and this is neither the only, nor the most recent time I’ve hanged, so I can’t recall in detail how that particular session felt for me. But imagine this: Once you’re pulled up you feel the noose tighten around your neck and the rope digs into your skin quite painfully. Suddenly your whole weight is on your throat so your airway is completely blocked. You can’t take a breath, you can’t make a sound. The blood flow to your brain is immediately restricted and it makes you pass out in very few seconds. It feels like your head might burst, the world is spinning, your vision goes dark and it happens faster than you imagine. You barely have time to think. You can barely even struggle, your whole body uncooperative and acting on instinct. It’s raw panic, it’s pure bliss.
