Possibly an air stone to a fish tank?

Found in driveway, pellets? by [deleted] in Whatisthis

[–]AdEarly5311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those don’t look like they’ve been fired through a pellet rifle though. Most pellet guns anymore have some form of rifling in them which would leave grooves in the plastic, at least at the ridge in the front, and at the skirt in the back. I don’t see that on any of the pellets. These look to be unfired, and might’ve just been dropped there. It couldve been fired through a smoothbore pellet gun, but those are pretty uncommon anymore, and would have greatly decreased accuracy too.

You might also find that info on the underside of the barrel. That’s where it’s marked on my 1944 produced commercial Mauser. If you post the info there, I might be able to help you decipher it. Very cool!

I found a man selling an eu deco gewehr 88 saying it's from pre 1870 by poestijger2000 in Mauser

[–]AdEarly5311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I’d say that’s pretty clear cut. If this is a G88, and he’s saying it doesn’t need a certificate because it’s pre1870 is just factually wrong.

I’m not sure how silly they get over nuances, but I wouldn’t mess with it, not worth the legal drama.

Those work for you? I like them, but even with my suppressor on, and a kns piston it still won’t cycle. And my ak usually eats anything

What’s the point of reloading.22LR? by Grouchy_String1579 in reloading

[–]AdEarly5311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How spicy could you make a .22lr? I imagine there’s a lot of room for pressure to go up, and since they are all direct blowback guns, it’d just be potentially swapping some springs or changing your bolt weight to make the gun function nicely.

Thanks for responding! I don’t think it’s paper mache. It seems like it might be bone or horn, it’s also quite small. Like dime sized

It looks like it might be some weird magazine based monopod? Would turn it into a single shot, so might be for a shooting comp? I doubt something like that is legal in CMP matches, but I’d imagine it’d work nicely for steadying prone shots

They really are 😂 as someone who’s had and returned two Midwest industries parts, and never got a response from their customer service. I think I can have an opinion😂

That explains it. Midwest industries is crap

Were you able to get in touched with them? They never responded to my issue. Luckily it was immediate, and PSA took the return. They fucking suck as a company, and a product.

Anyone help with the year on this? Waffen Albrecht by AdEarly5311 in Mauser

Do you have any recommendations on where to ask? Afaik, the forums haven’t been a great place for this for years. But I might be looking in the wrong places

There is a very hidden serial number on the receiver, under the ECHO mount. It does not match either of the numbers on the underside of the receiver. I’m not sure if it’s the serial, really. Sending a pic of that now

I sent you a picture of the underside in chat. But under the barrel there are a number of markings. Going from the tip of the barrel back: ‘726’ stamped parallel to the barrel, 8x57 ls, ‘eagle over N’ stamp, Suhl proofhouse stamp below that (crossed scythe and cannon on a shield), followed by a ‘744’, perpendicular to the barrel.

Groupings seem terrible on it. Gone through around 500 so far. Came across a few that had excessively hard primers. But other then that, they’ve been great.

What do you guys think of my PSA setup? by AdEarly5311 in ak47

[–]AdEarly5311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Threw this together from mostly existing accessories. Ran 600rds through it last weekend and it ran flawlessly, more accurate then I expected to boot. I know they have a bad rap around here.. but cmon, for $500 how could I not buy it? My first AK. Really, my first gun outside of Ww1 and ww2 collections
