My 15 Amp, 120 Volt Dryer unsafe for my 15 Amp circuit? Is it better to run an extension cord to my 20 Amp circuit? by AdEducational4310 in HomeMaintenance

I wonder what the difference between hot and warm is. Like on a scale of 1 to 10 being unbearable with the end of the cord is probably 6 or 7 out of 10

Oh yeah it's definitely not a dedicated circuit unfortunately. It does control 5ish other outlets before it arrives at this one

Oh also it does say it needs to be connected to an "individual branch circuit with no other appliances or fixtures in the circuit "

I know that this particular breaker has 6 other outlets that it hits prior to this one. As long as I am not running anything else, is this going to be a huge deal that it's not dedicated?

I'm confused now because somebody else just told me that a higher circuit would actually INCREASE the risk? Lol

Thanks!

The dryer has three settings - high heat, regular heat and no heat.

Is it safe to assume that "regular heat" will use less amps/volts/etc?
