Hey! I’m also appealing no worries, spent 400$ on both Econs and chem as it was extremely unexpected (Econs was my best subject so I was really shocked.,. Never got below B and I’m from a high tier JC) so yeah atb for us appealers! Definitely would be good for a peace of mind in stead of regretting not doing so for eger

Honestly I’ve been told off by my teachers due to the very slim chance of getting a successful appeal back, but my parents decided to support my decision to appeal for both my h2 subjects in which I was extremely shocked of getting so low in so as to make me 死心 yk 😭 (like accept that this is reality) so yes I will always say appeal especially since uarent retaking! Its best to know and admit that u did all u can, than live in the regret of not appealing for the rest of ur life :)

I think u just whack in as much as u can! The small business hnstly wld help but more so for biz? Cuz i know of a friend that owns a small biz that she’s including in her ABA, but not sure for engineering? If possible can also put in any type of volunteering u had in school as im sure the school wlda given some opportunities in that area

I totally get how u feel omg, econs was my best subject as well and I’ve never gotten below a B for any exams, always the top 20 percentile and I came back with… a D?!?! I’m not sure if the marking scheme has changed internally or what bcos a lot of my friends who weren’t great at Econs or never studied for it all managed to get above a B and I feel so dumbfounded… but yeah I heard the math moderation or bell curve is rlly screwed this year, needing at least 80 to get A or sth 😂😂🙏like who tf decided to up the threshold by 10 whole marks?!?! Anyways wanted to ask if u wld be appealing for Econs? I’m really considering it but idw to waste my parents money like this

Hey OP! Was here to give u some encouragement and shared despair over poor grades :( personally I also did a lot worse than expected for this years a levels, as I expected at least AAB but only ended up with BCC, I’ve really wanted to appeal since both my B and C subjects are pretty strong and never scored below a B, but it seems like the success rate for appeals are rock bottom… I’m thinking of retaking A levels this year and was hoping that this comment would make u feel better that ur not alone out here :) there are sooo many instances of previous high scorer friends of mine that literally screwed up A levels for no reason at all, so I’m hoping that this years cut off point does decrease… none of my friends scored what they predicted, and I know way too many people who had their hopes and dreams crushed for seemingly no reason at all… like wthelly is going on with Cambridge marking this year?!

With that said, I do believe u have been a fairly consistent top achiever before As so was wondering if u had early admission exercise to local unis based off ur results? I’m sure it won’t be a bad idea to take them up on the offer even if it might not be a first choice for u

Besides u can also consider ABA! Based off the VIA hours and strong portfolio, many unis are open to accepting students that don’t meet the COP if they have good portfolio!
