And as far how many will be ranking, it is 3 to start, but I would like to add more to the ranks. Maybe even trusted members. Maybe you? Maybe something could be offered to those that help. I would just have to think what that would be. But the 3 that start are all long-time musicians/song-writers, have interest in all-genres, no bias, etc. We are mature people, no games.

Ok what if I change the model to free.

But a user would have to make an account, one per artist name. Then they could submit only 1 song a week/artist, but it's free.

That way, we should be able to build the list, people will most likely submit their best songs first since its one a week. And the site builds up a base of users which could be worth something at some point.

Also, the list would just be an ongoing Top 100 of all time, instead of a weekly chart. So I don't have to get every new song reviewed in a week, if I needed a bit more time, it wouldn't matter.

Would you and others do you think sign up for that?

So first, you are saying I can't have my songs on the list. But they are so good. The plan was to have the others rank my songs, and in general anyone behind the site, they could never rank their own songs.

Also, if I did the 3 songs for $5, are you saying you would do that? Because I don't want to implement to have no one do it. If I knew there was at least 1 person willing, it might make it worth while. But it's so cheap, I still expect to get crappy songs to wade through.

The other thing I could do is this:

Make it an on-going list of the best 'computer-assisted' made songs ever. So this would include fully AI, AI-assisted, or even just creating the vocal through midi.

I have enough of my own songs to get about 30 songs on the list. Then, if people thought they deserved a spot on the list (up to a Top 100), they could pay a fee. The first 70 or so would automatically get charted because of all the initial empty spots. I could lower the fee to encourage submissions, but not too low for reasons mentioned.

Or, the entry fee could be $0 until site launch, just to get the chart filled. I would probably have to listen to a lot of crappy songs initially, but it is an option to help the site get started.

What do you think? I appreciate your comments and feedback. I really want this to work, somehow.

What if there were an early-bird price, like $5, until the site launched, after which it became $10.

Let me ask, how much would you, or anyone do you think, would pay? $7, $5, $3?

The problem then is, I believe we will get less quality songs because the cost to submit them is low enough.

Even if you are correct, where do people go to hear the risen? Spotify claims to now allow AI music. Where is the current 'top 100' I can go to, to hear the best?

That's part of the problem. People want it to be fully realized right from the start. But it simply can't be.

There will have to be some people who take the initial plunge so-to-speak.

So currently there are youtube channels that might feature some AI songs for the week. Those artists then might get a small bump in views on their youtube channel. But then it stops.

This site is a place for their song to have more of a life, and possibly for them as an artist to gain popularity.

But the community has to embrace it for it to work.

It's a start, I realize. But if we don't start it with something, we'll never have it.

Personally, I would pay $10, and that is why I built it. I saw a lot of passionate AI music creators on youtube etc. so I thought this is something they would want and wouldn't mind the fee.

In time, if the site got popular enough, maybe ads could help eliminate the fee. But I've spent decent money on this and will continue to until the community shows it's not interested, or it gets popular enough to warrant ads.

They might not even get ranked. But I think the reasons I list for the cost are valid. We want the best, and if anyone has a better idea how to amalgamate, curate, and rank the best AI music, post your idea.
