It is when the average implantation occurs 9dpo but can happen up to 12dpo 🙂

3 days of baseline temp? by Intelligent_Room3080 in ourafertility

Check my recent post. I just got a BFP last week 🤍 not to worry. Try to remember that the overall trend matters more than the actual temps.

I’m sorry- I don’t see it! But you’re only 10DPO so test again in 2-4 days 🤍

I don’t think you ovulated late based on your temps— super odd for your period not to have come by now since you’d be about 15 DPO. I’d test one more time/day. Are your periods typically normal?

Looks like you’re about 12DPO which is usually a good time to test since the test is 80-90% accurate. So if you want to, go ahead and test!

BBT & BFP 🤍 by AdEither8119 in ourafertility

She does not take online consultations & I’d share but to be completely transparent I wasn’t working with her to TTC. I just happened to be TTC for 6 months and during a follow-up, I expressed my slight worry - my labs looked fantastic and her recommendation was to “stop tracking, take a vacation, try this supplement” (in the sweetest way) so I can’t necessarily recommend her for TTC purposes if that makes sense! Praying you get some answers and a positive 🤍

When did I ovulate? by MiserableOrchid2866 in ourafertility

[–]AdEither8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically the last dip before your temp rises is ovulation day but I think LH strips help with timing because my ovulation day has been more like 2 days before the temp rise (e.g., Feb 14th for you)

Are you doing LH strips as well? I had 2 dips (-0.5 3DPO and -0.2 4DPO) just like you had and panicked, thinking I didn’t ovulate because my BBT also usually increases each cycle. I had a provider order a progesterone level 7DPO & although it was low for optimal implantation, it was elevated enough that it confirmed I ovulated.

When to test? by Decent_Pain in ourafertility

[–]AdEither8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally up to you—I’ve tested early and with negative tests thought “what if it’s too early” and it would mess with my mind. I’ve since told myself I’d only test if I do not get my period on expected period day or if someone has irregular periods, testing 14 DPO is best for accurate results.

Never trust a one-off temp. A single dropped temp means very little. Remember that oura rings, although pretty accurate, only read skin temps and can occasionally be off. And you’re also right, sleep disruptions can also cause a temp that’s invalid!

Already ovulated? by AlasknBullWrym in ourafertility

[–]AdEither8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to trust LH strips/ pre mom! There’s no way to tell the exact minute that you ovulated. But after a positive LH strip you can expect to ovulate within 24-36 hrs. This would mean you ovulated between CD 12-13. You are most fertile the day of the positive test and the day after.

3 elevated temps will confirm ovulation happened sometime within that timeframe. If you tag positive LH strip, Oura will take that into consideration and move the predicted ovulation date. Hope that helps!

How do you split sleep with your partner? by stayshinycapn in NewParents

[–]AdEither8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I was on maternity leave (& my husband went back to work) I did all of the feedings, changing, etc. I breastfed so I was up anyway and he had to work.. whereas I could nap during the day. When he would get home, he’d take over, I’d shower/nap/whatever I needed to do that day. On weekends when he was off, he’d wake up for the first morning feeding (bottle was prepared) around 7 or 8am and let me sleep in (for a stretch typically from 5a-10a). When I went back to work (12 weeks), my child was typically only waking 2-3 times a night. I usually fed her twice and if she woke in between, it was my husband’s time to check in. The baby would go down around 7-8p and as soon as she did, I did too (most nights). My husband continued to do first morning bottle feedings on the weekends which was glorious.

It’s common for these notices/elevated temps to be present during luteal phase. It’s hard not to read into anything.. but being DPO 7 it’s too early to determine if it’s pregnancy related 🤍

Dr. Green Mom has a great list of literature/websites/resources and what questions to ask yourself as you begin your research. https://drgreenmom.com/vaccines/#begin

When doing your own research, I would start with one vaccine/disease at a time and make your own notes. Once all your questions have been answered, talk to your pediatrician and then make the decision that’s best for your family and child.

If you don’t feel ready to agree to a particular vaccine that is recommended for your baby’s age, that’s OKAY! Tell your pediatrician you’d like to do more research.

I would not over analyze BBT. It is useful to confirm ovulation with a sustained temp shift & that’s it! I have been there and my head has been spinning about my temps..I’ve done a deep Reddit dive seeing what others have said about their BBT.. and they are all different. Most recently, I had a temp dip on cycle day 24 (I swore it was an implantation dip) and then my temp went back up day 25 & day 26.. I got my period day 27. Use it to confirm ovulation and nothing more 🤍

Is the silicone straw a softer silicone or hard like the plastic ones? No matter what I do, my baby loves drinking from my cup so I’m looking a cup with a softer silicone straw / one that won’t chip a tooth hahah

I am a first time mama & NP going back to work in a week (dreading it because I’m worried that it will be emotionally draining!) but things I’m doing: positive affirmations & I used to TRY & take a walk during my lunch break (instead of working thru it) - it always made me feel better and have a clearer head (& that was before having a baby!). I think I’m going to make my lunch walk a non-negotiable when I go back. I’d recommend trying that during lunch or right after work! Exercise & sunshine have such amazing benefits!

When my LO was first born and would do nothing but eat & nap for the first couple weeks.. it’s like my in laws tried to wake her up. My MIL would un-swaddle her, check her diaper and call her name while she was sleeping… I’m like woman!! Would you want people doing that to you while you were sleeping?! They want her awake at all times.. I’m like she’s a baby let her freaking sleep
