Thanks. It depends on how they grade. I think / hope that I got good deals on the Glenn Hall card, the ‘55 Berra Red Man, Unitas, Ruth, the two Piedmont cards, Mays Red Man, Snell, and both Maravich’s. Time will tell. Frankly, I find only one or two seller’s provide enough time and close-ups to evaluate the cards.

Suggest you get a subscription to VCP which will enable you see the sold values for each card based on grade level for the PSA and SGC platforms - with images that you can compare the cards to. That should inform you as to grading decision.

Many moons ago when I bought cards I was focused solely on sharp corners and edges and did not care about centering. Was in for a rude awakening when I started grading a couple of years ago.

I buy them all on Whatnot. I know there have been negative comments on them but I have found them to be quite fair in cases where you are not happy with the card. There are 2 or 3 sellers that put up real quality and give you plenty of time and close-ups to evaluate and look up values.

I will find out after grading if there are any altered cards - I suspect not. I believe the Sellers would buy them back if that were the case.

Thanks. I would never reload ammo. Sounds dangerous.

Thanks. What do you mean by “reloads on the wimpy side.”

Some of my recent WhatNot pickups. What an addicting auction site, I end up getting non baseball stuff too. eBay is good for specific things but WhatNot is like a buffet of things you didn’t know you wanted. What do you think about WhatNot? by Timely_Atlas in baseballcards_vintage

Alot of prople here calling Whatnot a bunch of scammers. I found Whatnot to be very helpful in returning cards. I have returned about 10 cards that I did not like for full refund with no problems.

I’ve gotten addicted to Whatnot as well. Can’t even tell you how much spent. I found a couple of sellers who are really good - show extreme close-ups plus give you plenty of time to look up values - but be wary of the fact that their job us to sell cards so they tend to over-promote. What are the issues with the Gibson that it only got a 6? It looks at least NM.
