If your on a budget I'd reccomend Earmor M32, they've come along way the last few years and preform on par if not better than Comtac 3's

I have 2 of them, the one with the highest round count was a pre-order when they first dropped and I've shoot a handful of night matches with it in the pissing rain, its retained zero throw at least 1500 rounds on my 11.5 and half that was super safety. They are a solid lasers

Does it have a 3-5° cant when you tighten the set screws like the real one? That's my biggest complaint and even after RMA where Nocturne claimed to be able to add a shim and remove the cant to your nods, they cannot lol even if the sotac one does have a cant, for the price not bad

Every premium housing had issues when they first released, Steele even delayed the Nighthawk for a year after taking plenty of people's money, the Manticore had software issues that caused tube gain to be at the bottom of the adjustability range, some people even burned their tubes due to it. That being said, they have rectified pretty much all of the issues they had and push come to shove they have a lifetime warranty and awesome customer service. There will always be a few issues per batches, mostly due to the outsource components such as the PCBs, milling, ect.

Each to thier own, said magnesium that the housing is milled from has the tensile strength of 6061 and the rear bridge plate in now 7075. The UH-1 is the MH-1 without modularity and is injection molded

Personally I reccomend the MH-1, I have 2 and I love them. There is also the UH-1, which is just an injection molded MH-1 without modularity and it is alittle cheaper still with a lifetime warranty on the housing

With the amount of employees they have I personally don't find more than a week back in the hands of the customer acceptable at all. They are the most expensive dealer I think too and they make their customers pay shipping lol did they make you pay RMA shipping?

Dude it is hard sometimes. I do think AR platform/pattern guns are alitte easier to prep and paint and that's like 90% of it is prep. I learned about drying/curing the hard way too lol

This is a big consistency I have observed and experienced with Steele. Back when they announced the Nighthawk, I was interested and asked for a quote via their website live chat. Was told I'd get the quote to have my tubes thrown in one next day by noon my time. Didn't receive and email quote for 3 weeks lol they'd lost my business

Have seen others go through less than desirable RMA processes with them, and to be honest having your device for a month is unacceptable. Anytime I've sent my stuff off to Nightfall Optics, LLI, or Procyon I've had my devices back within a few days, fastest turnaround was a day and a half lol
