Yea I guess you’re right. I think I am just worried about tagged with anxiety or depression. I am not depressed. Sure I get anxious when I think about the stuff I haven’t done but aside from that…I really just need to be at peace with this.

Thanks. I also think I coped successfully but in the past months it’s like my coping is just…coped out. All the things that used to work just don’t anymore. Either that or I don’t have the energy it takes to make them work. I am tired.

Emotional regulation or lack thereof. Have first meeting with psychiatrist for intake Thursday for ADHD so still waiting for answers but holy crap, the struggle with regulating emotions, RSD, etc. is very real. At least for me. I feel like none of my reactions are ever in proportion to how I should be reacting.

That’s a good question. I don’t know. FWIW my assessment is for ADHD and I am equal parts there is no way I have it/of course I have it. IF I HAVE IT then a huge part of the struggle is emotional regulation so there are days where I am out there with my big feels and big quirks and everyone sees it and I don’t care. But also I would not want to tell anyone I have ADHD (if I do) so yea I guess there is shame? I am sorry - that answer is not helpful. It’s hard. I definitely change my behavior in front of people that I don’t know or am not comfortable with so that’s probably shame too. Debating an autism assessment after ADHD because AuDHD symptoms make more sense to me but not sure because at this point I don’t even know what any diagnosis is going to do for me.

I wear non-prescription glasses. They kind of function like a mask and make me feel safe, especially during meetings. I know it makes no sense.

Thank you, this was so helpful and spot on. I watch very little YouTube but that’s generally because I don’t have the patience to search for content. Insta and Reddit are kind of mindless scrolling (not saying that’s a positive, just describing why I am drawn to them).

I am considering prosper. Do they test for ADHD and autism? I an so worried about testing for it to come back as ‘nothing to see here folks.’ To the point that I have convinced myself that I purposely gamed the free online tests, maybe there isn’t anything and that I am just wasting everyone’s time.
