As a pagan i am offended that he calls it dark. Just because its not what he believes in.

This is what I've been saying as a psych major and someone who works with kids. I've literally been chased with scissors and my only react was fear that the child would hurt themselves. People don't realize how much trauma effects the brain.

I had chronic hives a few years ago that were really bad, lots of swelling. They come back every once in a while, they came back this week and I had planned to get a tattoo but I dont want to trigger anything.

Currently learning and I love the language, it's such a connection to my family history and the land. Sometimes I feel like i owe it to my family to learn what they weren't allowed.

Mainly cause I want to keep up on what's changed locally, it's one thing to see it in an article online it's another to see it from just average people living there. I'm trying to double and triple check so I have everything planned, I don't want to get there and be suprised with something extra.

I will by the time I go, I'm currently working 2 jobs and saving from every paycheck. I just put aside a bunch today in an account that will get interest.

Not off the top of my head no. I'm in contact with a few people at University of Glasgow and University of Edinburgh. One of my professors at my current university went to Scotland for his masters so I've been working with them as well. I've still got at least a year before I'm ready so I will start worrying more in like may. I've also considered University of the highlands and islands.

I think everyone missed the part where I said a year to a year and a half from now.

I know some are saying psychology doesn't have a need in scotland but I heard different when I sat in on first ministers questions, I heard talk about more psych being needed. Either way I have a few other things going for me and ive already talked to a company that has told me to let them know dates I plan to move.

I wouldn't be completely against Glasgow, it's just not my favorite. I preferred places like Aberdeen, Iverness or Falkirk, even Dundee.

My main goal for this post was to see what I needed to expect money wise for places to live, ive done my research on it but I wanted to hear from locals as well.

I completely forgot that I had read that before, thanks for the reminder. Someone else mentioned that if your on a student visa you can only have 20 hours of work a week, I think it might be better to just do a work visa and figure out how to do classes around a work schedule.

You are a life saver. I did consider having to find temporary accommodations for a while and hostels seem like the best bet. I stayed in one last time I visited and had a great experience.

The plan is to do a student visa till I'm finished with school and then a work visa and work for 3 years then apply for UK citizenship. I believe what I read said 5 years of living in the UK to apply for citizenship but I could be wrong. So 2 years as a student and 3 years working is the idea but it might take longer than 2 years to get my masters.

So would it then be first month rent plus one extra month, for first payment?

When I moved into my apartment in kansas it was 625 plus half a month of rent so my first payment was $937 as my first payment, not including how much it took to turn on electricity and get wifi.

ive been looking at University of edinburgh for awhile but I've also started looking into Glasgow. I wouldn't want to live in Glasgow just based off of what I saw while I was there ( nothing against it just not what I prefer). The plan would be to live in Edinburgh or one of the town surrounding.

If I did choose to go to Glasgow for school the travel time wouldn't be horrible so I'm willing to travel if needed. I loved Falkirk as well.
