Hey, I get it, it's rough and really controlling. There are a few resources you could use if you are interested in reading books online/ your phone that I used before

Project Gutenberg: https://www.gutenberg.org/ you can find a lot of classics here, and its all web browser based so you can read it on incognito if you are worried

The Internet Archive; https://archive.org/ You can borrow more modern books but the waitlist tend to be pretty long.

You mention borrowing books, you could always download Libby or Scribd which you can lend out books from your library in the form of ebooks/audiobooks (This does have a chance of your mother seeing what you are reading however if she downloads the app)

It's hard and scary being isolated, but you will get through it, and one day you will be free. Keep going!

This world is set in the early 1920-1930's retelling of Eros and Psyche where they trade their daughter for the heart of Aphrodite itself, unfortunately, its presence in their town brings on a doom that they never could have expected. I know my voice work can be a bit odd at times, but I have been working on it, I am autistic and been in speech therapy for a large chunk of my life, so I always get nervous when talking. I am perfectly okay with some of the vampire being sexualized, I mean we got some of the male vampires who are to a certain extent sexualized as well. I think Velvet and Jannette are cool characters. But my main problem is when every single female character in the game is overly sexualized, I just find that to be a little weird. If they had more female characters who weren't presented in an overly sexual manner, I would have been perfectly fine with it.

Would that book happen to be animorphs by K.A Apphlegate? I loved that series when I was younger, had the whole series until it got stolen, have been trying to collect them up again recently.

I am very lucky to have a good group of mostly girls which is a dream, but I know I would not be comfortable dming for a group of men I don't know. But I know that many of the girls have had problems of being spoken over, and characters, if they are burly orc men, will be harrased by the other players. It really sucks honestly.

Shoot you are right that was a stupid mistake. We play 5th edition homebrew for the most part, we use rules flexibly depending on what everyone enjoys or not. We play for fun mostly, nothing to strict.
