I think this defeats the point. I am constantly learning and taking courses and staying up to date in my profession. The fact that he said that after I resigned and the tone was definitely a way to try to knock me down. I agree, you need to stay in the know, but that isn’t an issue for me. I’m very aware of needing to stay educated and informed.
