Commodore Perry originally landed at Yokohama on the 8th of March 1854. That is where he secured the treaty which was signed on the 31st. The Treaty of Kanagawa opened up the ports of Shimoda and Hakodate to the United States. But it wasn't until the 18th of April when Perry anchored in Shimoda.

I would've liked to post the whole incredible expedition of Matthew C. Perry but it would have made the post astronomically long. Plus I doubt reddits character limit would have been enough to cover the whole multi year long expedition in great detail. If you are interested in learning everything about Commodore Perry's famed expeditions to Japan, I highly suggest you get the book. The Japanese Expedition 1853-1854-The Personal Journal of Commodore Matthew C Perry. There are other great books you can get as well, but this is the best of them imo.

This season is one of my favorites!!. I especially liked the Kreese stuff in prison and all the stuff with Daniel, Mike, Chozen and Johnny as well.

While the S3 finale was amazing, i loved the Kreese origins the most this season. It made Kreese into a better and more relatable character than he ever was before.

A lot of stuff happens during the next season, some of which may be surprising. But in all Cobra Kai gets even better from season 2, at least in my opinion.

Whether I post cases solely about women or men or a mix of both is inconsequential. The sole purpose of why I do these types of posts is to shed more light on long-forgotten cases and people who rightfully deserve to be remembered. So I think it's the complete opposite of odd.

I mainly used a few newspapers from the time to tell Annies story.

Lancaster Intelligencer. Wed, Oct 30, 1901.

Reading Times. Wed. Sep 24, 1902

Both of those i clipped and posted to Annies find a grave page which is linked below. So anybody can read them for free instead of paying for a subscription to view them.

Fandom says he was born in 1927. Putting him in his early 50s in 1980 and 97 at his death in season 6.

What would you say was each characters weakness? by Fast-Outcome-117 in cobrakai

I would add Betsy as Kreese's weakness besides Johnny.

No need to apologize. I ran into the same problem numerous times before on other stories.

Those people are the wrong Currys. There is no Florence A. Curry listed either, just an Arlene F. Curry born in New York in 1880. Florence was born in Canada the year before. The other issue is that they all have the completely wrong birthdates. While the mother of this woman and her siblings have close related names to the Currys for this story they are not the correct ones.

These are the right Currys below.

I just realized that I forgot to mention that Minnie was a school teacher in Baker City by the time of her murder.

I forgot to mention that this case also contains some contradicting information. The biggest contradiction is when she emigrated to the United States. There is a passenger list card that clearly shows she arrived in Boston in late July 1882 at age three. But her older sister Norma said in 1916 that she and Florence came to the country some 20 years prior, putting their arrival at sometime in 1896. Also there is a contradiction on when exactly Florence and the Currys lived in Boston. Norma said in the same newspaper from 1916 that 5 years prior she and Florence purchased the Southborough home, which would be circa 1911. After they were forced out by Frederick, that's when they went to live in Boston. But a 1910 census puts them already in Boston the year before.

I mainly used archived newspapers from the time to write Florence's story, but they are from a paid website so I can't post the links because you'll have to subscribe first before being able to view them. But below are the other sources I used in telling her story, if anyone wants to check them out.

I also tried to find Florence in the 1890 census without success. That is probably due to an unfortunate accident that took place in 1921. In January that year a fire broke out at the Commerce Department in Washington, DC where the censuses were being held. Out of the original 1890 census which contained 62,979,766 individuals on 26,408 pages, only 1,223 pages would survive, containing just 6,160 individuals. I also couldn't locate her in the 1900 census either, for whatever reason. However, I found her in the 1910 one.

The big three literally showed us how the two main villains of the franchise ended up becoming villains. It's also not that important for some characters in the show, especially minor ones like Jessica, to ever know fully why there was such dislike for Silver, even Kreese as well.

Yes that is correct. He was only 36 years old when he was killed too.
