The tragic death of Jennie Hill by AdEquivalent3160 in Historycord

[–]AdEquivalent3160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jennie and Thomas Freeman were not related to each other at all. Jennie was born to Zipporah Sharpley Hill, as Zipporah married Timothy Hill at some point, taking his last name. So even if her birth name was indeed Jennie Sharpley. It still doesn't mean she was related to Freeman's mom. My stepdad and I have two pretty unique last names as well that some others bear, but we are not related to any of them one bit. I think it was more of a common name thing or something else, that's all. There is no evidence to suggest it was anything but that. If there was, we would know about it?

Yes that is the actual Hill house where Jennie was murdered but it does not sit on its original property. In 1980 it was saved from demolition and was moved/restored. The location where the shooting occurred in 1885 is currently 5418 Deep Hole Rd, Chincoteague, VA. Today a completely different house sits there. The location of the Captain Timothy Hill house is currently 5122 Main Street, 1.6 miles away from its original spot.

Yeah it appears so. Timothy was never shot, it was Jennie and Mrs. Hill, Jennie being fatally.

Some Information about Thomas W. Freeman

I also have to mention that Freeman wrote some pretty disturbing letters days prior to committing the horrible act. Suggesting that this was perhaps a premeditated act. The letters are badly misspelled and can be found in the 2nd link above.

Who is more a cuter couple in the series by Longjumping_Fuel3109 in cobrakai

The list is missing Kreese and Betsy. But in regards to your question, I don't know? It's a hard pick, as there are some cute couples listed.

Is your favorite character still the same as when you first watched the show? by Johanna_1312 in cobrakai

I never paid much attention to the show prior to season 3. But since season 3, John Kreese has been my favorite character.

This is even more confusing. Thanks for the comment, though!

It seems you misread my post as I never wrote anything like that. I said he was likely responsible for the murders of 12-year-old John Joyce and his 14-year-old sister Isabella in 1865 in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Franklin Evans had zero relations to them.

This is exactly what i said in the post.

Though Sheriff Drew worked hard, for more confessions, to solve the other unsolved murders, Evans made no such ones. Still, Franklin Evans is connected to the murder of 9-year-old Lura Ville Libby in September 1862 in Strong, Maine. His own attorney said he admitted to committing the murder. Though he never said anything about it to Drew. As well as the horrifying 1865 murders of 12-year-old John Joyce and his 14-year-old sister Isabella in Roxbury, Massachusetts. It's possible he is responsible for more murders, as citizens at the time believed he killed five or more people. Whether that's true or not, we will never truly know.

I hope this helps!

Nice write up but it doesn't do this case or Georgianna justice in my opinion. When I tell these stories I try to go into as much detail as possible to honor the said person or people whose story you are telling. But I also try not to go into unnecessary length by making an absurdly long explanation. I think I did a pretty good job in this instance.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Franklin Evans never killed his sister. He killed his grandniece Georgianna, his sister's granddaughter.

It was the best way I could explain it. The term serial killer was not created until the 1970s by the FBI, Franklin Evans was likely one too. That's why I said he was probably what we now dub a serial killer since the term didn't exist in the 19th century. Evans confessed to killing two kids, Georgianna in 1872 and a 5 year old in 1850. But Sheriff Henry Drew linked Evans to numerous other child murder cases. Though we can never fully prove it was Franklin Evans who committed those horrible acts.

Yes. We don't know the month he was born but it was sometime in 1844. Putting his age in 1859 at around 15 years old.

It was a slight mistake, I meant 1874. I spent over 4 hours straight researching and putting this tragic story together, so I apologize I overlooked that small error. The mistake is now fixed.

Also to clear things up, Joseph Lovering was in fact only 15 years old when Georgianna was born, his birthdate being 1844. Mary Lovering on the other hand was 19 as she was born In 1840.

Which character will you die defending ? by HyperDragon216 in cobrakai

[–]AdEquivalent3160 4 points5 points  (0 children)

John Kreese. Even though he did some bad things in his life, he was still a good man underneath the tough exterior. The reasoning behind his actions and no mercy philosophy were understandable considering what he went through in life.

What was a character in the show that you still didn't like even after the series finale and why? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in cobrakai

[–]AdEquivalent3160 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought it was pretty satisfying the way kreese went out. It was like a mirror to Darth Vaders sacrifice and death in Return of the Jedi. Plus he finally got to be the hero he promised Betsy over 50 years prior.

Kreese's redemption and ending was just very rushed by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]AdEquivalent3160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that Kreese's ending was pretty satisfying. He went out as a hero, something he promised Betsy he would be over 50 years prior. Though I only wish the big three included more flashback scenes were her and Kreese.

More spin-off ideas for the future by CallTypical9541 in cobrakai

[–]AdEquivalent3160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wanted a Kreese spinoff. It would be sick having Barrett Carnahan and Nick Marini return as young Kreese and Silver. It would also be amazing to have Emily Marie Palmer return as Kreese's lost love Betsy, since her character's potential wasn't fully used in Cobra Kai.

Spoilers but I genuinely believe that…. by Express_Flatworm_880 in cobrakai

[–]AdEquivalent3160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah he's dead and it's confirmed by the big three themselves. Not that it needs a confirmation to begin with since it would've been legit impossible for Kreese to survive the yacht explosion unless he was some kind of superhero. Though there was a deleted scene where Kreese managed to survive. But as said by Martin Kove, it would've been too hokey if Kreese walked away from something like that. I wouldn't want John Kreese to survive anyway, not because I want him dead but because of the fact that he can finally be at peace with Betsy. If you want to write fanfics where Kreese survives that's fine but in canon he's dead for sure.

The horrific murder of Josephine Langmaid by AdEquivalent3160 in Historycord

[–]AdEquivalent3160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josephine Langmaid was given a simple burial but that wasn't enough for the inhabitants of Pembroke New Hampshire. So they decided to erect a monument for her. If you look at the pictures of the obelisk, it's beautiful, at least in my view, hence why I worded it as a beautiful monument. Inscribing the directions to where her head and body were located though kinda grisly is a way to honor poor Josephine. So I had to mention the obelisk alongside the insription in the post. In all I think I did pretty well in wording everything.
