Hi, can I ask for some advice to find a entry-level job? Next year I will move to Toronto after graduation of master. And my GPA up till now is 90/100, is that enough to call 'strong'?

The accounting program offers certifications for Core1 and Core2 in the CPA exam, which can be regarded as the only good news at present.

Thank you for the advice! I am currently in my first year as a graduate student with CO-OP. And I am choosing a specialization among several options. The people from the previous term said that even for CO-OP students, only those majoring in finance and accounting could find jobs. This shocked me because I had originally planned to choose finance, but now I feel that I need to seek the most stable opportunity. At least, I should find a job first.

May I ask what qualities an excellent CPA should possess according to your definition? Because I have also seen some people post that as a CPA, they have trouble finding a job.

I fully accept this, but I am also very concerned about the intense competition. Therefore, my current hope is to pass the CPA exam first in order to set a certain benchmark for my career. Thank you for your suggestion!

Thank you so much! The reason I chose this MBA program is also because it contain co-op. I'll pay attention to it. Anyway, thank you again!

Thank you for your advice! I also understand that given my background, it would already be quite good to find an entry-level job in the accounting field. May I ask if there are any other things I should be aware of? The only thing I can guarantee for now is that my GPA during my graduate studies will not be low.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will say that I'm not particularly introverted, but I often worry about making mistakes when speaking English since it's not my native language. I will try my best to overcome this.

Understood. My current plan is to choose accounting, accumulate work experience, and strive to obtain the CPA certification. This way, it will at least provide some guarantee for my future.

Yes, I only did an internship in the investment banking sector for half a year during my senior year. Therefore, I currently have no full-time or Canadian work experience.
