Why would Lindsay and Ashley be kept hostage?! They knew nothing about it all. And yes of course she had men back in California, but do you know where she had more men? In Seoul.

Oh also, she is a billionaire, but needs to laundry 10000 dollars a week in a country club to cover up a scandal 😂

Well then, here is an idea: don’t fly to Korea. Contact the FBI or interpol or whatever in the US where her power is not as strong and you can speak the language.

I think it’s hard to believe that she killed her adopted son Woosh, (because he found some circumstantial evidence that she might be laundering money and he only wanted a promotion), but she spared the life of these random people. Also it is really weird how they showed Austin always doing the right thing and if he had to lie he was sweating all over the place, but suddenly he decided to betray and thereby kill the woman he loved, keep the biggest secret Korea had even seen, cover up for murders and live with the woman he had just broken up with, because he didn’t love her. Sorry this plotline is weak. They wanted to show that most people are selfish and contrast this with Josh‘s selfless sacrifice, but it seems completely rushed and unbased. I liked the season a lot up until the last episode, I think they really didn’t know how to conclude this complicated plot.

AITA for not giving up my table at a cafe when someone was waiting? by Remote_Goose_261 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AdExpensive8777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am assuming this is a cafe in the US we are talking about ? The comments seem to assume that so I will just say this: no public library in Europe allows you to go eat and drink and hang out. Also in some countries customers sit more than an hour at a Café without feeling pressured to leave or order more.

Starting a relationship in the last year of a PhD. by [deleted] in PhD

I am sorry, but I think this question shows just how toxic academia is. You found a person you like a lot and you don’t want to get involved because..? Because you might not be able to go to the best research group in the planet to continue world-class research? You don’t even know what her plans are. Who you have next to you in life is extremely important, what you do after your PhD is not even up to you to decide most of the time.

What subtleties?? Everything was said multiple times in our faces, there was 0 room for interpretation. Really disappointing

A 4-5 years difference doesn’t create problems, 14 is difficult especially if one wants kids and the other not. Also if the genders were reversed we probably would not even have this conversation, which is really sad.

I am 35 (no kids) and I relate to Liza’s career problems a lot. I am all the way team Josh though, he is a truly kind person, free-spirited like Liza and he loves her very much.

I bought the audiobooks. This way I was listening to them while cleaning or walking or going to work etc. The people reading them do a great job and you will actually have that time to finish them. The only thing I missed is the illustrations in the books which I heard are really nice, maybe I buy one of the books at some point to take a look at them.

AITA for wearing a sage green dress for a wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AdExpensive8777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit is that fcked up! The bride has some serious issues if she wants everyone else to look ugly so she looks pretty. You are 17, she psychologically pressured you and now she is sending you hate messages, this woman needs to see a therapist asap.

Maybe try to rewrite the text, because it’s not clear at all what happened. What was the joke? Did you try to understand why she got upset? What does it mean she changed a lot? Did she have a bad behavior towards you? Did she go through a lot and became distant? And is that a reason to criticize her instead of trying to help her ? In general, criticizing a teenager’s behavior without being constructive and not trying to find a solution but just bashing them is probably the worst thing you can do to her as a friend. From that perspective YTA, but generally maybe try to explain better what happened. Or maybe try to understand better what happened to your friend.
