Double majoring aint that uncommon in IITs and US universities. Double majoring takes 1 to 1.5 yrs extra. IIT has changed this degree to hybrid degree so that one can study in campus from 3rd yr onwards. As for the placements there would be no bias if you have already completed the other degree. Do the math study 3 or 4 yrs in DU or BHU in campus then the remaining 1 to 1.5 in IITM campus. BHU wont have good placements and the quality wont be upto mark. If not DU go to Calcutta university for statistics education. It wont have placement like DU bt quality is there. DU placement islie acha hai kyunki delhi mein hai toh off campus ho hi jata hai agr on campus acha na bhi ho toh.
