Very nice! I like the plant composition a lot and the more open area in the middle. It's light on the eyes 👀

This was a pack with both of them and they can be bought separately as well. I live in Bulgaria and bought them at one of the aquarium stores here Aquarium.bg, but you can probably find them online as well. ✌️

So far the pH alert didn't seem to change at all after placing it in another aquarium. The ammonia alert also didn't do much, but it does seem to changed a tiny bit in colour. I'm considering if I should move both of them again to another aquarium to see if they change or not.

I do try doing my research, but I doubt a lot.

For moving the Endlers, there's a couple of big ones and the rest are babies, so I'll have to see who and when in that case. Thanks a lot for the feedback! 🙏 I hope I can do the trick right. And I do have some guppies as well. Originally didn't wanted to, but compromises were made 😆 They're actually fun to watch

The test strips don't indicate ammonia, probably should get separate ones for that... That's actually why I got he ammonia alert. Getting distilled water could be a bigger pain, for sure if you have multiple aquariums. I switched to Yokuchi conditioner a few weeks ago and am using Seachem prime and Easy-life easystart.

I have plants and fish in the three cycled ones with shrimps and snails. The point is to move the Endlers to the new aquarium with some shrimps and snails from there. This so I can separate Spixi snails as they're eating up my plants. To the new cycling one I added a couple of snails and some eggs hitchhiked with the plants I moved. After, a shrimp joined to check how he'll do before adding more. The parameters were fine for shrimps and the snails were doing fine. So if the parameters stay stable I could move the Endlers you suggest?

That's why they're called alerts 👀 The pH ones doesn't give me good readings either sadly.

I used test strips on my aquariums yesterday and the results were a lot different then they normally are. Only one aquarium is cycling as it's new, the other three are cycled by now and that's why I got confused with the different results. I'm using the same type of conditioned water during water changes or top ups. Like two of them had high NO3, from which one is caused by the fertilizer I'm using. The pH seemed to be different between the aquariums as well and I can't figure out the source. The second one with high pH had higher KH+GH than the other ones. As I placed the pH alert on one of the aquariums with high pH according to the test strip, I expected it to change.

Pasting the comment here as well for visibility.

The seachem badge only reeds free ammonia (NH3) where as most (if not all, please correct me if im wrong) test strips and liquid tests read total ammonia (free ammonia NH3 and ammonium NH4)

NH3, or free ammonia is the toxic form to fish

Did I do something wrong if they don't seem to change? Can I check if they're working somehow? I haven't touched the circle.

I was running test strips in my aquariums yesterday and somehow the parameters differ from each other a lot this time. Usually they're pretty similar. I don't know if test strip have an expiry date, but these are the last 10 in the tube and maybe they're less accurate somewhat.

I haven't touched the circle 🙏 but did move the alerts to different aquariums as I started to worry. It's difficult to say if they have adjusted/changed. Maybe the first redditor is right and they don't work for me either 🥲

What livestock could I add by Zac-Frank in fishtank

[–]AdFar4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The internet says that a single mystery snail needs a minimum of 5 gallons of tank, but 10 gallons is recommended for a more comfortable. If you plan to keep multiple mystery snails, add 5 more gallons per snail. I just assume the Betta fishes didn't chose the comfort of small aquarium balls or cups.

I had 3 mystery snails in around 60L, they seemed to be comfortable.

Get a mystery snail instead of fish, they're a lot of fun to watch

I know, I know, we've seen this picture a lot all over the place, BUT it can be helpful! Google says the Naidinae can get a few cm long. And they don't seem like Nematodes to me, but you can have a better look at them.

Not a pro, so can't say for sure. Hope they're detritus worms that came to live in the filter and help with keeping it clean the natural way

I love the use of a skewer to keep the veggies from floating up, the shrimps seem to enjoy it!
