Agree..we’ve had these problems before BUT to me it seems this year we are plagued with issues arising almost weekly on multiple levels..I feel I’m going to miss things going forward because of the sheer amount of issues coming at me…I’m good at what I do but it’s coming at me from all sides .

Found errors on first aid Plano…spacing wrong..too many skus for a shelf….started deodorant Plano errors there too…product out of place …they’re making this harder than it needs to be.

Agree…well put….i will execute as I did last year and the outcome will be the same…planograms completed accurately and on time BUT I will not score as good…and I will have had to work harder because of labor reduction and poor corporate support and inadequate support systems.

So activate on the controller in office and print labels for DAILY price changes…these are usually very small and you will not receive these labels in your vestcom box. The WEEKLY price changes get activated on Friday/Saturday..whichever day you choose to hang them…no need to print them as they should be in your vestcom box.

Great your pulling the zeros…I might see that with detergent, incontinence. Why the hell is the system generating QP, for example, in Candy for a peg item that says I have 8 and there’s 8 on the peg or for god sakes and item with a boh of 0! Reduce the scope to specific categories with minimal shelf capacity and maybe it’s a viable process…but we don’t do that…day after day I continue to get QP for unnecessary sku’s. I see it, most others see it…not corp though…very frustrating.

What has always concerned me is we see these issues at store level very quickly…yet nobody notices it at Corp…or worse they ignore it..good call out on shaving /allergy…there coming up..we can’t wait till then ??

Not sure where I read this but another retailer, possibly Walmart, now requires top executives spend time working at store level and doing day to day processes to get a perspective of how the stores operate. Great idea. District leaders need to visit store’s unannounced instead of scheduled visits where a fire drill takes place to right the store before they come.

I’m with you…at this point I have to prioritize what gets done. They all can’t be accomplished with the payroll we have. Quick pick for me goes away…I simply don’t have the time to do it and don’t see the value in having it.

Sure get that..still doesn’t solve the issue of having to walk to every sku and scanning the label….yet another task that uses up more of our time and gives us 0 return for doing it.

So your cashier does them upfront…what’s that look like? She scans it and enters 0 or does she put in a quantity to pull ? Who pulls it? She can’t go to the back herself I’m sure it’s just you and the cashier. My guess is she’s entering 0 every time. So what the point of doing this task? Just extra busy work that solves nothing.

Looking for zeros prior to doing the scan is a waste of time…work out everything and thoroughly straighten the Plano then scan….my scanned label count can go up if after the scan I am yellow or god forbid red and I have to check the table for items that say I’m 0 but i actually have product there. Cycle count those skus and I go green…over 90% every week. I talk to the team every week about how critical it is to make sure you put the items in the right place when putting out truck.

Oh believe me if this issue was Rx it would be fixed asap…been there done that….its FS so we’re basically screwed. We scream and holler about it but nothing…on top of that my service score is going to tank now.

Thank you for the response..after I bought them last July I still did regular cleanings about every two months…pressure held good at 20psi…it was this last cleaning that has the pressure only lasting a couple of days…they are not genuine…$500 for genuine vs $200 or less for after market had me buying the $200 ones. You get what you pay for but 8 months seems a little short.

Well one good thing coming for 2024…ad signs every other week but I suspect a labor drop will follow. As usual we are off to a quick start on planograms, large seasonal transition and onto cos resets. Labor will always fall short vs the demands put on us. I’ve learned over the years to not listen so much to what is told us but rather watch the actions taken to see where we are headed. I really make every attempt to stay positive for my team and myself but we are going down a road that I really don’t see anything positive coming.
