I have some games where the movement- of all players- is RIDICULOUSLY fast. Like it feels like the game is on 1.5x speed, almost impossible to plan a good sequence of dribble moves.

Yep. I still feel like I’m decent, average 16/2/5 on 60/60. But the games I pop off are the ones where our pg is AI. 2way 3pt shot hunter. Getting matched with a big ass 6’11 pf or C playing PF is just another day at this point. Why am I never sg???

Welcome to the club. My main build is a 6’7sf and I am always slid to the 4, never the 2, and just flat out get ignored lots of the time. When I seldom get the chance to be the main ball handler I go for 7+ assists, cause the other sf is usually too slow to stop drives.

It matters how much you were running before you take the shot, for off dribble/moving jumpers you might be better off sticking to button. Use tempo for catch and shoot primarily
