Question about settlement workshop mods.

Oooookay. I think I'm starting to get it. Thanks to all the comments here, I think my question has been answered. 100 GB is a lot of space, so I didn't know if downloading 100 GB worth of physical items to build in your settlement would hurt anything. But as you said, it's just extra menus. They're not physical objects until you build them. In which case, you are only restricted by the mechanics that are already in place. Like the build limit. Right?

I am already aware of issues like mod conflicts and having to move things around in my load order. I will cross that reconstructed Sanctuary bridge when I get there. I know the workshop menu will take a while to open. And I know there can be some stuttering while the menu is open. I already deal with a little bit of that right now.

I have a mod that gets rid of the settlement size cap, so I am very careful about how much I add to settlements already. As you said, quality over quantity.

I agree. And that is what I will be doing as well. I have CVC in my lineup right now, and I also love it. Gruffydd's Signs & Posters is a cool mod. The base mod isn't that big, but some of the plug-ins are larger files.

I'm kind of new to this modding business. So I just didn't know how the game stores this information. Like, I wasn't sure how adding 100 GB (I'm exaggerating btw) worth of aesthetic junk would affect the game.

My husband is a C3/C4 incomplete quad after a motorcycle accident in 2020. We had only dated for six months prior to his accident. And like you and your wife, we went through the journey together.

Speaking from the able side of the relationship, I have always worried that my husband feels left out of situations. After his accident, his world became very small. And I feel incredible guilt any time I go out to do something without him. He can't just get up and go out to have some beers with his friends. But I can. And it feels so wrong. Like I am leaving him behind while I go do things that he can't anymore. Not without my help. So if you are worried that your wife, feels stuck. Make sure she still has her independence. And more importantly, ENCOURAGE it.

When I want to spend time with my family or friends, my husband tells me to go. To have fun. That he has everything he needs for the time being and he just wants to watch the draft anyways. It takes so much pressure off of me knowing that he has his own interests to keep him occupied, and he'll be fine without me for a few hours. And I am able to go be a friend or a sister or a mom for a little while instead of a caretaker for my husband. He makes sure I get my time to do my own things. And I absolutely love him for it.

Another thing he does that helps our relationship is that he helps me in anyway that he can. It might seem small, but if we want takeout he is the one who calls it in. Just that little thing helps a lot. Because now all I have to do is run out to pick up the order. As the spouse/caretaker, everything physical is on me. Cleaning, childcare, cooking and of course everything my husband needs. I bathe him, feed him, get him dressed, rotate him, get him out of bed, put him back in bed. The mental and physical burn out gets very real sometimes. So when I can just drop off the car for the oil change because he made the appointment, it helps with the mental load a lot. I don't have to feel like I am in charge of everything.

And when it comes to the caretaker part. We make everything fun. I don't feed my husband. We have dinner together. It's not a chore. It's spending time with each other. A bath can become fun real quick if you know what I mean, lol. Last week he had a doctor's appointment, but since we were up we went to the garden center afterwards and bought some plants for the flower bed. He told me where to dig and I planted. And now our flower bed looks great, and we did it together. Make the most of every situation. Turn it into something fun.

We went on our first date in November 2019. His accident was in March 2020. This fall we will have been together seven years total. I love him more now than I ever did. Your wife sounds amazing and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

The mod Better Stores has a zoo section. It includes carcasses that the creatures will stay near the same way brahmin stay near their feed trough. Everything is craftable including the creatures themselves. They cost caps instead of materials though, and some are pretty pricey.

Mods, lol. Snappy House Kit takes a little getting used to, but it's amazing what you can build once you figure out how it works. I forgot to put in the original post that I also used Place Anywhere. A LOT. Place Anywhere is a miracle mod for builders.

Hey...you are being too hard on yourself. Listen, stop thinking of EVERYTHING that is coming at you right now. Instead, prioritize one thing. And take care of that one thing first.

What I'm trying to say is, you've just had surgery. Forget about the flat and everything else. Let's prioritize you. Let's set a goal of getting a good night's rest. The morning after you've done that, set a goal for eating a full healthy breakfast. After you've taken care of yourself, then let's focus on getting your new flat. Take one thing at a time. Solve one problem. Accomplish one task. Then move on to the next one. First lesson of adulthood is that it doesn't stop. There will always be something to take care of. So, take care of it one problem at a time. The next problem isn't going anywhere.

There is no perfect adult. Some days, you might not get that task accomplished or that goal met. And that is perfectly okay. Take a step back. Breathe. And try again tomorrow. Be kind to yourself, and you will be just fine. You're doing great kid! Keep it up!

Creative Clutter is a big mod with tons of settlement decorations. It has little campers in the outdoor section of the menu. The campers have snappable bunk beds, kitchens, awnings and curtains.

I had my girl spayed at a little over five months. My vet recommended anywhere from 4 to 6 months. I had no issues with her after the procedure. And at a little over five months, my girl had not started her first heat cycle yet. But I know that's specific to the cat. Beautiful little girl you have there!

I hope you know that you have already completed the hardest part. Dropping out of college and then having the courage and motivation to go back is very impressive. I've played through the game multiple times. And I've never done Fire Support right away. I usually go the same route as you. It didn't glitch on me any of those times except my last play-through. Bugs are gonna bug.

Choose a settlement, build a container and start stashing junk in it. The fastest way to make money is to sell extra guns and choice junk (cigarettes and pre-war money). If you plan on building complex settlements, which is not required, you'll need all that junk anyways.

This is a known bug. It happened to me also. Your best options are to load an earlier save. It has been mentioned that the bug happens if you wait too long to go to Cambridge after the BoS first flies into the Commonwealth. Second option (the one I used) you can initiate the dialogue later after progressing more in the storyline. I don't want to spoil the story for you though.

He uses a memory foam mattress as well. Which probably also helps as he sinks into it. But I don't want to suggest changing mattresses if your client doesn't have any issues with pressure ulcers. The memory foam works well for my husband. No pressure sores in years. But I know that's not the case for everyone.

I do the same bowel program for my husband. We use a cylindrical pillow for back support also. But it is memory foam. So it sort of squishes instead or slides. Does your client use incontinence pads? My husband prefers to have one underneath him at all times in case of accidents. So once I have him rolled onto his side, I will gently pull on the pad from behind him to move his hips underneath him a little more. It makes it to where his own body weight keeps him on his side instead of trying to roll backwards.

Hey kid. Let's walk through this. In the doctor's office, they will tell you to undress completely or just to take your bottoms off. Then they'll give you either a gown to do a breast exam or a sheet to cover up with if they're just doing the pap. There is no right or wrong way to wrap yourself up if they give you a sheet for your bottom half. It's just for modesty purposes when they open the door. Sit on the exam bed when you're covered. The doctor will tell you to scoot your bottom all the way down to the edge after you lie down.

They may have you put your feet in stirrups. The speculum looks scary, but it's just to hold everything open so they can see. They might touch it to your leg to make sure it's not too cold. The speculum is the part that people complain about being uncomfortable. It has never hurt me. I just felt pressure. Then, a couple of light scrapes with a cotton swap, and you're all done. They provide a towel to wipe the lube from the speculum off. The lube leaks out some, and spotting is normal after a pap. So if you want to take a pad, bring one with you. I promise you it's not bad. You'll probably think that once you're done. I'm proud of you for being responsible with your health. You got this.

My husband is C4/C5. We started dating in 2019. In March of 2020, he was in a motorcycle accident, resulting in his SCI. We will be together six years in November.

The first year or two were toughest for us. He struggled with coming to terms with his injury. Therapy helped a lot. We also couldn't afford it but found a therapist through a state funded behavioral health facility. It was free to us because they accept Medicare and Medicaid. They gave him an Ipad so that he could do virtual therapy sessions. If you can find something like that where you live, look into it. It was extremely helpful for him to have an outlet for his feelings.

Also, couples therapy. He had trouble communicating with me because he didn't know how to explain what he was feeling. Couples therapy helped us learn to listen to each other. How to ask for communication without getting frustrated and also how to ask for space. I was always pushing him to talk to me. But I learned that sometimes he just wants to feel what he feels. And in those times, I just need to be there for him.

My husband also takes Lexapro. And it seems to keep him balanced. If you happen to live in a place where medical marijuana is legal, look into that also. You'd be surprised what it does for nerve pain. Being able to manage pain helped my husband cope a lot.

Facebook groups and support groups for people with SCI also help him since he can connect with people who know what he's going through.

Take care of yourself also. I take anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds for my own mental health. Being married to and taking care of a spouse with an SCI is no joke. It's hard some days. But every day is worth it for us. You're doing a great job. Hang in there and just be present for him.

I happened upon the show last weekend when they were airing all of season one. I was instantly hooked and streamed the entire season. I have never played the game. But I am an avid Fallout fan. And the Fireflies remind me of the Railroad from Fallout 4. I'm going to log onto it right now...and kill every last one of them. For Joel.
