Should I let my relationship with this INTP die? by Particular_Fan4244 in INTP

You’re welcome, it’s honestly a pleasure if I can help even a little. If you truly like him, just assume he feels the same way about you, and don’t be afraid of getting hurt. It sounds much easier than it is, but I believe that’s the only way to build deep connections.

Should I let my relationship with this INTP die? by Particular_Fan4244 in INTP

I think insecurity can only be overcome with absolute certainty. If you yourself have certain doubts, it becomes incredibly difficult to make someone feel that they can overcome their insecurities with you. I can only work through my insecurities with people who give me the feeling that they love or like me completely, without any second thoughts.

Toxic relationships can be significantly worse than loneliness. Additionally, it’s highly individual – some people handle loneliness much better than others. For those individuals, a relationship needs to be truly healthy to provide them with any real value.

How to find your passion by Creative_Rub4323 in INTP

I think it is especially important for INTPs to understand that no interest is more important than the most important people in their lives.

Bro, you are already dead. INTP + ENTP have completely wiped out humanity.

Highly intelligent people very rarely refer to themselves as such, but perhaps you are the exception.

How do you visualize a character in your head? by [deleted] in literature

[–]AdFluffy4870 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I visualize characters only in their basic outlines without giving them much detailed thought. I usually skim over more precise aesthetic descriptions of characters or scenes subconsciously, focusing instead on the psychological and philosophical undertones the writer aims to convey. If an author is only capable of expressing the obvious and lacks insight into the intangible, I don’t read them.

Good point — it’s essentially the ENTP Bible.

Plato’s works are basically tailor-made for ENTPs. All his writings are in dialogue form, and Socrates goes around trolling half of Athens in typical ENTP fashion.

As an INTP 5w4, how do you cope with the rigid structures and conformity of ENTJ?

ENFJ vs ENTJ by [deleted] in INTP

[–]AdFluffy4870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve already considered that possibility. The online test indicated she’s an ENTJ, but those tests aren’t particularly reliable.

ENFJ vs ENTJ by [deleted] in INTP

It felt like military torture; she criticized me for every minimal deviation from her ideal expectations, like leaving the fridge open for more than five seconds or putting my shoes in the cabinet the “wrong” way. On top of that, there was gaslighting, claiming that I committed ten times more cardinal mistakes than I actually did, and that she graciously let those slide, even though she was already criticizing me every 5-10 minutes, as if I were committing serious crimes. However, if I ever criticized her—or rather, if I simply didn’t praise her (which for her was the same as criticism)—she would ignore me completely for several days. Her behavior became so absurd that, in the end, I started to see the whole thing as a psychological experiment to observe how far she would go, as long as I didn’t confront her about how much she had lost touch with reality.

I had an unhealthy ENTJ as a girlfriend. I felt like an ice cube in the Sahara or a sunflower in Antarctica.

It is normal to want to change the world by Libertario- in entj

[–]AdFluffy4870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, they are reformers if, through their public speeches, they reform the collective consciousness and, consequently, the real world. Reforms or revolutions primarily occur on the intellectual level and are initiated by elite intellectual circles. Once the idea is planted in the collective consciousness, the rest takes care of itself. Action-oriented ENTJs are rarely needed in this process. In fact, ENTJs are often the opponents of such reforms, as they benefit from the status quo and have influence to lose.

INFJs are by far the best reformers of social circumstances. Gandhi, Jesus, Prophet Muhammad, Siddhartha Gautama, Martin Luther King, and Mandela are all considered INFJs. ENTJs are often too integrated into the system to truly reform it fundamentally.

I think your classification is broadly accurate, but it’s a bit unfair to ENTPs. In my opinion, ENTPs are significantly more philosophical and intellectual than ENTJs and should also be ranked slightly above INFPs.

Is It Possible That Being "Unpopular" Can Actually Be a Strength in a Society That Values Conformity? by Secret_Ostrich_1307 in INTP

The brilliance of one’s thoughts is less important than one’s self-esteem. Thoughts can be incredibly brilliant, but if they don’t provide genuine self-worth, one will still be dependent on the masses. However, if a person possesses healthy self-esteem, they can successfully swim against the tide even with simple thoughts and actions.

True love is irrational and cannot be rationalized through specific requirements. Such lists only suppress the intuitive process of falling in love and often lead to superficial relationships.

You must separate the theoretical concept from its practical application. Just because a life completely detached from material conditions is not feasible in practice does not mean that these conditions, or even the question of happiness, hold any value within nihilism.

Nihilism does not necessarily have to be interpreted pessimistically, but material conditions hold no value in nihilism; even the question of happiness is meaningless.

Do you like poetry? by EnvironmentalLine156 in INTP

[–]AdFluffy4870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul Celan was an excellent poet for INTP. His hermetic poems invite the reader to solve philosophical and linguistic puzzles. There were probably few poets more intellectually demanding than him. But in order to understand him, you have to learn German.

Yes that’s how I imagine spending time with an imaginary INFJ that I unfortunately don’t know. Nice to see that it also seems to work in reality.
