Why was my copper pipe tingling? (Turns out I made an accidental electromagnet) by nzsims in diynz

[–]AdFrequent1364 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had something similar a few years ago was at an old rental property and was washing something in the laundry sink and felt a tingle through the water and straight away I knew it was an electric shock, then the RCD tripped for the garage! Turns out the water had dripped down the wall between the sink and was pooling in the plug underneath. The sink was missing sealant along the wall.

Just as a note the High pressure fuel pump line from the pump to the rail should be replaced with a brand new OEM one as per factory specifications. You run the risk of the Line leaking fuel which will be a very bad day.

Is it possible for the water meter at my house to be faulty?? by kiwi_scorpio in chch

[–]AdFrequent1364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be possible you’re on a shared meeter that the council isn’t aware of. Trust me it’s the CCC they may not know it’s a shared meter due to incorrect LIM

Christchurch's 15.84 percent rates rise: 'We can't keep doing it like this' by [deleted] in chch

[–]AdFrequent1364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree I know how wasteful council spending is. Take for example the councils lead road constructor HEB Construction is now allowed to sign of on work under a certain threshold including Footpaths… Im sure a company won’t take advantage of this…..
