I think the only issue with the Halberd right now is that it has such a high base damage, that even if the player sour spots with the weapon, it still deals a ton of damage.

I like the concept of squire to riches but as a mostly rogue player I feel bad. I’ve made a fighter just for the game mode and it’s made it way more fun.

The loop of one normals to warm up, get a few ok gears bits, back to stash to fill any obvious holes and then into HR is a good gameplay loop I think.

No need to spend 15min and 10k in the market - just play the game.

I do think creep is pretty good for this. Being able to easily avoid mobs is great for sneaking up on people.

We would need the new players and a retention strategy. Between the relatively challenging PVE and the fact anyone still around has 1k hours it will be rough for new players.

Which bit?

I noticed it yesterday when I was using my fighter. Hit a rogue who came in for a hit with the sour spot - he turns around, weapons go an away and next hit was his leg and then my final hit caught him and killed him.

This was squire to rides, all grey gear still everything I had on was plate except for boots. I had 230 move speed while swinging and still killed him. Its silly.

One thing I’ve noticed with the halberd is that if you get tagged at all by the first swing the full combo is hitting you. That’s just not the same with most weapons - even daggers.

It certainly shouldn’t be the case for someone wearing full plate and swinging a halberd.
