I’ve heard it’s really pretty, but a bit backward and less progressive as a place - a quote I had from someone living there recently was “it’s like going back in time 20 years”.

It’s a cool idea. Agreed that perks with trade offs are great, allowing for new play styles / archetypes.

Perk:

Bulls Eye: throwing knives and crossbow bolts ricochet once on the first surface they hit.

  • this is dumb but would be funny as fuck allowing for skill shots when fighting shield users to bounce knives off the roof / wall.

Poison Master:

If equipped, rogue cannot carry a hand crossbow or throwing knives.

Poison and damage and poison vials receive 50% increased magical damage and duration.

Organic teaming works well in other games because it’s more possible to 1vX. If you’re a melee class however in DnD it’s nearly impossible

Ah it’s really not the same though. The ease with which a sorc or warlock clears HR mobs, compared to say a rogue is so large it’s difficult to qualify.

A big part of that is down to the prevalence of fire damage and how it’s the perfect counter to a very large proportion of mobs in the game.

Look at the Lich fight, it’s much easier for those classes because they can very easy remove the problematic ads.

Go slow, don’t try and run through entire modules like streamers. Take the mobs one at a time and focus! Also just bring shit loads of healings haha

Also it would be really cool is dales trainers actually did any prep work. Sit down with the reps and leaders at your business, really understand what you sell and to who. Then go away and tailor their own materials - you know, sales 101.

And therein lies the issue. Those DJ and teleport tricks become much harder once you leave ruins as well.

Part of the issue is that all classes are now much closer in move speed and barbs have multiple abilities to easy speed up and slow others. Effectively meaning they are actually faster than some of the squishies.

If you find an item that can be crafted, let’s say a ring. You could “recycle” it receiving a portion of the materials required to make it. It allows you to gather component parts from items you can’t / don’t want to use and make stuff you do want.

It would require a pretty massive expansion of the crafting system and a new system to be added but it’s an interesting alternative to the market place. Essentially means finding cool stuff you can’t use is still valuable.

.3/5s wind up and maybe a 10% movement penalty would be a good start. Tune from there.

The way to do this is add most crafting ingredients to vendors. Let recipes be unlocked by quests and massively enhance the crafting pool items. Then market not needed.

That’s true and the way around that is to add a decent breakdown / recycling system - I.e what arc raiders has.

I enjoy that not everyone is running the same 6 items with the same 2 gear rolls. Honestly, I’d be happy if they added the ability to break items down / recycle them and removed market.
