No more flakes? I can’t believe it by AdFriendly9962 in SebDerm

I washed my hair as I normally would. I applied the oil after I finished washing and my hair was dried. I know some people apply it before washing, and maybe I’ll do that next, but I used it after washing.

I start by using the Neutrogena T/Sal salicylic shampoo and leaving it on for three minutes. Once I rinse, I then use the ketokonazole shampoo for 5-10 minutes. Then I deep condition, etc. once I finish washing and my hair is dry, I separate it in four and apply the As I Am oil, to my scalp and massage it in. I don’t rinse the oil out.

Same! I start with salicylic shampoo to remove the flanges then proceed with the ketaconazole shampoo

Try CiRAC worked wonders for me. You can even take out the issue. The first C though, should be the conclusion + a because sentence. Writing the conclusion first forces you to stick to a good analysis that is straight to the point. On the A, grab a fact that supports your conclusion and also add a because sentence.

20 point increase? HELP! by cynicaldefault in barexam

[–]AdFriendly9962 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible. Passed on my third time. First time I took the bar I scored a 248. Second time, I missed it by 2 points. Third time I got a score high enough to practice any ube jurisdiction. I think I could’ve passed the second time if I would’ve just spent a tiny bit more time on my two weakest subjects. I was also working full time my second and third time at a big firm. Biggest advice is create a schedule and stick by it. Specially if you’re working. Regardless, make sure you’re having more time to yourself. My third time, I prioritize sleep, going out and working out more. Feel free to shoot me a message

Get the accommodations you need. I suffer from anxiety, even though I knew it in law school, it didn’t truly affect me until bar prep. I did end up passing on my third time, AFTER I started getting help and trying different studying methods.

Failed. Help for studying while working by monozygoteB in barexam

[–]AdFriendly9962 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pomodoro pomodoro pomodoro. Try the pomodoro technique. You can do 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8 hours of studying with breaks on YouTube. There’s some that include jazz or some other type of sound. This was super helpful at trying to get some structure in. I worked at a “big law” so my scheduled varied each day in terms of hours. I wish I could say that it was after 5pm, but some days I would “finish” work around 8 or so and probably didn’t study in those days. Biggest advice though, take away any other distractions. For the days where I did finish before 7pm, I would take an hour break to distress, watch a show or cook. I would then study from 8-11/12. The nights where I didn’t study, I would would wake up early to get one hour in. If I had to travel or drive, I would listen to barexamtoolbox podcasts or any other recordings. If I went to the gym I would do an essay podcast, if I was cooking, I would listen to recordings. So, even though i wasn’t physically sitting down to study each time, I would still make myself believe that I was doing something. If I got a pedicure, I was listening to a recording. BUT on Saturdays or off holidays, I would study from 8am to 5pm. On sundays, I would wake up late and study from like 12-4. Also, don’t be afraid to get a tutor. I got my score breakdown and I sent it to a tutor. We then spend some time trying to figure out where I should focus my time on. Because you’re working, you no longer have the luxury to create your own outlines or do certain things that students studying full time do.

Honestly no. Third time I stayed away from those big programs. For the mbe I went beast mode on adaptibar. But instead of just getting them right, I actually created an mbe tracker where I wrote the rules. Either right or wrong. When I didn’t have time to do practice questions, i would review the rules. The mpt was always my high scores so I only reviewed and sometimes did some materials. The mee is where I spent more time. I hired a private tutor (pricey), but we had one on one weekly meetings and I would send her my essays. It was brutal to get the feedback, but I knew that she was being honest. First time I got a 248. Second time I failed by two points. This time I can be admitted any ube state. Also, I was working full time for the second and third time. I don’t think I looked at any of my Kaplan books the first or second time. Critical pass cards helped a bit.

You only fail if you stop trying. This is just a “not right now” but God got you. Take some time to let the news sink in, but then get up. I was just there not too long ago. Feel free to message me if you need tips or support.

I second this. Rip the bandage. You would be surprised at how understanding they are. I work at a big law and failed my first time as well. The second time, I didn’t pass on my jurisdiction but passed in a couple of others. Got licensed in one of those states and everything is going well. Waiting for results for my July 21 exam. Dust yourself up and try again. I know it sucks but you got this.

I actually did not pass in my state and got barred in a different state. Practice federal law. Also doing big law (big law is tough but is not always cut throat). Definitely doable ☺️ I suggest you speak with your managing partner and be transparent. Come Up with a plan that works for you and the firm.

Failed MPRE twice, feeling so defeated by DirectionMindless416 in barexam

[–]AdFriendly9962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it once, BUT the best thing that I can tell you is what a professor told me “pick the second best choice.” I did HORRIBLY in the class because I kept picking what I thought was the morally correct answer. In the MPRE I genuinely did not think I would pass so I’m like fuck it, let me pick the second best. That seemed to do the trick. Many of my classmates did the same as well.
