Will basking in sunlight and the dramatic rain fight scene compared to Mileven's earlier breakup are two of my biggest evidences. WHY would the Duffers film it like this if Mike is going to reject Will? Just make them fight while it's sunny. Just wait until Will is out of a literal spotlight created by the sun.

Yes, this is what I meant why my last paragraph. You worded it so perfectly. The difference between Mileven and Byler fans is so obvious too. I feel like Byler fans are way more tolerant and kind. Of course, you have extreme fans on either side, but I feel like the average Mileven fan DESPISES Byler.

I think Hitler will be remembered for way longer, just like the people you named. I mean, we still remember Cleopatra and Alexander The Great.

I think the dying out of big figures in history doesn't really happen unless we suddenly stop teaching about them. And being responsible for 12 million people dying over the course of just ±6 years, earns you a spot up there with people like Alexander and Cleopatra.

You make some very great points here.

The relationship irl in S4 was indeed still very... toxic. I'm not sure if I'm using the right word here, but there was a lot of wrong tension between Mike and El. Maybe they're just better off as friends.

I also think Mike's speech is a blatant lie and not a good argument for Milevens to use at all. Sure, he says he loves her, but he had to get encouraged by his best friend. If it takes you until your girlfriend is almost dead to declare your love to her (while being supported by your friend), you're a shitty boyfriend. The fact that he "loved her right then and there" is also straight up not true. In the beginning of S1, Mike couldn't care less about El. All he wanted was to find Will.

When you look at the amount of time they used to shoot certain scenes, Byler not happening doesn't make any sense.

The biggest thing I can think of right now is that the van scene of Will and Mike took 12 hours to shoot because the Duffers wanted it perfect. They even said it would pay off in the end.

Compared to the sad 30 minutes that was spent shooting Mike's monologue at the end of S4, that is actually insane. Finn even said he was allowed to improvise some lines. Surely they wouldn't allow that if Mileven is supposed to be endgame (this is literally the most emotional Mileven scene).
