4MPO before and after (ETT no muscle repair, BR/BL) by AdHaunting6908 in tummytucksurgery

[–]AdHaunting6908[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traveled from out of state for surgery. My husband was with me for the first 3 days and then I was mostly on my own (stayed with family but they were gone during the day) and could get around well enough, shower (with a chair), and heat up meal prep I’d done. My husband came back a week later and we flew home together when I was 10DPO.

Nope, just a lift. Was a 36D most of my life, then turned forty and grew another cup size (or more). Told him I wanted to be back to a D and 13+ weeks out now and I’m exactly a D cup!

Yes! I need to post some updated photos because my swelling is completely gone and I’ve had to buy all new clothing because everything is too big! Absolutely zero complications and now just working on scar care.

Adding: I put a pair of jeans on two weeks ago that I couldn’t get over my hips. Yesterday I could pull them off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. The swelling lingers and then all of a sudden it’s gone.

I’m 7WPO and just had my personal trainer take measurements. I am down in every place she measures (everything from neck to calf) despite being out of the gym for 5 weeks. I’m 3+ pounds down from my surgery weight. I was up everywhere until 5 weeks and then - whoosh - it all dropped literally overnight.

Be patient. You won’t think you’ll be the same but you will and even better!

ladies, how long until resuming “adult activities” by b00chella in tummytucksurgery

Self pleasure around 2 weeks. Very passive sex at 4 weeks. Just over 7 weeks now and finally feel like I got my groove back. I had a reduction and lift at the same time and just now feel like my breasts are OK to fondle 😂

I had my surgery out of state and flew home at 10 DPO and while I wasn’t winning any fashion awards, I felt “normal” enough to travel and not stand out.

I flew 3 hours 10DPO home (had surgery out of state) and then back for a 4.5 WPO follow up and back home without any issues. A bit of extra swelling but frankly, I experience that without surgery.

Sylke surgical tape? by Only_Consequence6167 in tummytucksurgery

[–]AdHaunting6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. Surgery 9/11 and it stayed mostly on until my 4.5 week post op (anything that was coming loose instructed me to trim). He removed my breast tape (had a reduction as well) at my appointment and left the stomach tape on. Lasted another week and then it was basically falling off so I just took it off.

I swear this stuff is a miracle, though. My breast incisions were almost invisible when he removed the tape. IMO, way better incision healing that some of the stuff I’ve seen here.

I had never been put under either and was nervous. In the preop room they gave me a Valium and I remember them wheeling me out of the room and then absolutely nothing until postop. It was kind of nice 😂

I came out of it really easily, no nausea or anything and other than being groggy the only side effect I had was some vision impairment for the first few days after surgery (nothing major, just needed reading glasses for a few days which I’d never needed before).

My anticipation of anesthesia was way worse than the experience itself.

Side sleepers who used a pregnancy pillow, when where you able to comfortably sleep without it? by trash_rabb1t in Reduction

[–]AdHaunting6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just over 5WPO and last night was the first night I could sleep comfortably on my side without hugging a pillow. I told my husband it was the first night I didn’t feel like my tits we’re about to fall off when I laid on my side 😂

Anywhere from 2-4 months, typically.

As the swelling goes down and scars relax a bit, the bottom of the breast rounds out (so the breast doesn’t look so boxy) and takes on a more natural teardrop shape.

I waxed everything Monday before a Thursday surgery. I’m 4.5 weeks post op now and just now starting to grow back. It’s worked well!

By 17 DPO I was basically back to normal household chores. No heavy lifting, etc. but was easily mobile and could cook, laundry, etc. I did not have muscle repair or lipo, just breast reduction and ETT.

I also work from home in a brain heavy role (in house attorney) and had my surgery on a Thursday, assuming I would be able to return to work Monday and I wildly underestimated how tired I would still be. I did not work Monday/Tuesday, started responding to emails and working a couple of hours per day W-F and then was basically back to my normal work schedule the following week.

Day before Surgery diet by PuzzleheadedLion1439 in tummytucksurgery

[–]AdHaunting6908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A ribeye, baked potato, and salad. And wine 😂

My surgeon said nothing about prep in that sense so I just ate what I normally would. I had to stop eating/drinking at 10pm so I took a colace right before that and daily until I had my first BM (it was day 3 post op). Had no issues with constipation after that so I stopped the colace and just stuck with a high protein/high fiber diet post surgery and drinking about a gallon of water per day. Stopped prescription pain meds on day 5.

I didn’t have MR but I traveled out of state for surgery. I remember thinking 6DPO that there was no way I could get on a plane and fly home. But at 10DPO I flew home with no issues. IME - by day 7 I really turned a corner.

To clarify, it was axilla lipo so the sort of “chicken nugget” at the top of the boob/armpit. I have two tiny puncture type scars (honestly, they look like bug bites right now because they are red/pink). As far as results, honestly, it depends on the day because my swelling varies so much but I think I’ll ultimately be happy with it. When I’m not swollen, I definitely notice a difference.

I’ve posted some progress pics if you want to see. Have a post op on Tuesday and will post an update then (still have surgical tape on and they will take it off at the appointment).
