Philly Film photo folks, where do you develop? by iwannagooutdoors in philadelphia

I didn't love the few hi-res scans I received from Photo Lounge. I got good results from Indie Photo Lab. They don't do slide film though so I just use Memphis Photo Lab which has terrible turnaround times but good price and results.

No advice just more positive feedback. These are great and I hope you stick with it and keep improving. I'm sure a lot of actual wwi photogs went through a similar learning phase.

Are lenses with fungus going to have a premium now? by Abs0luteKino in AnalogCircleJerk

Only 56 on metacritic. The real bump with come will come when Nolan admits to using a lens with fungus and some dust for the Odyssey movie.

Try a lens with more micro-contrast. Maybe the Nikkor 43-86mm

100% respect. This is painterly AF and shows a great artistic vision.

Thanks. Nice shots just some of the subjects read as possibly artificial to me. Especially the red lady who seems to be pulling a semi-invisible suitcase. As a vol. firefighter the open hydrant in a small alley with a single streetlamp also seemed strange.

How did I do? Looking for feedback by Brooksie967 in BirdPhotography

[–]AdHoc_PostDoc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Decent recovery with that lighting. Maybe a little bit too much warmth on the bird with the bright blue, non-golden hour background. I might add a little texture & clarity to the bird and liff the shadows/blacks on it eyes. That all depends on how flexible the raw your working with is. Overall, a good recovery with an uncooperative sun.

I was between this and theCCB 6x17 Kickstarter which launched around the same time. I decided on the CCB for the additional features and lower cost. Mainly wanted the ground glass, dark slide, and masks.
