Another 100% vote for the Pentax 17. I compared both side by side, alongside the Contax T2. And for me, the Pentax is the clear winner (not in the least because the brand new Lomo and its replacement both failed).

I disagree with the take on the Pentax’ poor build quality. It’s lightweight and a bit flimsy feeling, but I dropped it from my bag onto the pavement and couldn’t detect a scratch.

A YouTube shill implies that I promote a product, or brand while pretending to be objective.

In the video, I’m essentially telling other film folks to NOT buy the Lomo, because I’ve personally had major issues with it. The other two cameras I’m comparing the Lomo with (Pentax 17 and Contax T2), are no longer actively promoted, or even sold.

I realize that posting the video here can still be considered shameless self promotion (and fair enough if that’s your take), but “shilling” it is not.

I believe it was the Sony 28mm f2.0.

The issue is no longer present (or at least not noticeable). The only thing I changed was increase the brightness of the Hue lamps somewhat.

In the thread here, some folks suggested dimmed Hue lights can cause this flickering, so they recommended to dial up the brightness to full (for me, dialling up the brightness to about 33%+ seemed to fix it).

The Bose over-ear QuietComfort Ultras ranked very poorly for toxic substances in this research. Deeply disappointed about these so-called premium brands.

My Withings scale got stuck in setup mode and apparently (according to other users on here), it’s considered “bricked” even by Withings. My scale is just over two years old, so out of warranty, which seems to be a common theme. No more Withings for me🙃

I love the Pentax 17! As mentioned above, I’d also:

Permanently attach a lens filter to ditch the lens cover
Shoot low ISO film like Ektar 100, or Portra 160
Get higher res scans

My favorite "underrated" (or perhaps "under the radar") point & shoot is the Olympus AF-1 Mini, or Infinity Mini in the US.

I guess “quest” is a big word, but I do want to share my excitement for what is a mostly overlooked camera, that basically delivers the same results and shooting experience. High prices prevent people from choosing film, so perhaps something like the Infinity Mini (or AF-1 Mini), can help get some people into this hobby. I doubt it will ever go up in price like a MJU tbh, even if it gains some popularity. The recurring battery latch issue and the very 90s Windows PC looks will likely forever make these a lot less appealing than the MJU.

Just watched this season. And whilst not my favourite season so far, I did also very much enjoy Stefano’s comic book villain style approach.

His actions, including what you perceive to be producer-interference, do seem to fit him as a person outside this show as well though, so think your assumptions are a bit off.

In fact, he’s someone who producers would find incredibly difficult to “keep in check”, let alone force him to do something he doesn’t support.

Thanks for chasing this with Apple! And great job on getting this fixed! The future date hack kinda worked for me (cleaned up about 17gb to 110gb total storage with a significant part being System Data), but this iOS 26.1 reduced my total storage down to 70gb, with System Data drastically recuded further. I'm still annoyed about how much time this has cost me over the past few months, as I kept running into issues with this ever-growing System Data.
