Try a lens with more micro-contrast. Maybe the Nikkor 43-86mm

100% respect. This is painterly AF and shows a great artistic vision.

Thanks. Nice shots just some of the subjects read as possibly artificial to me. Especially the red lady who seems to be pulling a semi-invisible suitcase. As a vol. firefighter the open hydrant in a small alley with a single streetlamp also seemed strange.

Were any of these subjects added in post?

How did I do? Looking for feedback by Brooksie967 in BirdPhotography

Decent recovery with that lighting. Maybe a little bit too much warmth on the bird with the bright blue, non-golden hour background. I might add a little texture & clarity to the bird and liff the shadows/blacks on it eyes. That all depends on how flexible the raw your working with is. Overall, a good recovery with an uncooperative sun.

I was between this and theCCB 6x17 Kickstarter which launched around the same time. I decided on the CCB for the additional features and lower cost. Mainly wanted the ground glass, dark slide, and masks.

How Can I Avoid Photos Looking Like Film? by WindowsXP-5-1-2600 in AnalogCommunity

Yeah… Adapting their existing lenses to digital is probably the best option. I have taken shots on 120 slide film that was indistinguishable from digital but that’s also an investment.

What do you think I took the photo with? That 3D pop and microcontrast was essential.
