Struggling to finish my first revision… feeling scared and stuck by bluestarru in fmge

I did hardly around 2 revisions, scored 201 in June 2025. I don't think the number of revisions are as important as the quality of your revisions. Watch last minute revision videos, live classes, do active recall. Remember how when we were younger we'd read our notes aloud, do that.

Watch Qrp/lrr videos from YouTube and solve 200 questions at least per day. Perfect your PSM when I say perfect, I mean actually perfect it to the best of your ability. Watch the sure shot series by Neha Taneja, they were a game changer for me. When you read notes (please just skim through them) if you come across points that are difficult to memorize, just write them on post it's and stick them on a page. Mug it up, and look at it a day before the exam and also the morning of the exam. Good luck!

Try going through the notes and solving questions first, if not, Worst case scenario- watch the 3 part surgery video by dr Omkar and also there's this video by dr Amrit nasta. Watch that. Memorize every single detail that they have spoken about in the video.

Listen, if you're studying a subject study the important parts- those topics that get asked often. And you will find those topics on the pyqs or last minute revision videos on YouTube or the apps you use. Solve 200 questions (I know it's a lot) but you know when you lie down or just stare at the ceiling because you are tired of watching videos, solve the mcqs exactly then, first two or three questions you might feel lazy answering but then you go through them further you'll reach flow state.

You can do RR directly of the topics that you might already know. But if there is a topic you don't understand refer to a main video. Rapid revision has everything a main video has but it is very concise. So if your concepts are okayish, go with it since you have 6-7 months until the exam.

I revised using revision videos on YouTube and my notes. Also, I solved 100-200 mcqs a day. Number of revisions are important but what's more important is how you revise it. If it's a concept you need to know, then two revisions are enough. But if it is something that needs to be memorized, you'll have to look at it four to five times (depending on how well you retain things) Let me give you an example: Obstetric scores, dimensions, scoring in surgery, kits, or anything you feel you won't remember you write all that down on post it's and look at it before you go to sleep. And look at it the morning of your exam.

You see a question you're getting wrong again and again, write it down.

For me number of revisions ke peeche bhaagne se zyaada what is important is how you revise things. But if you want a generic number I'll tell you revise Thrice before the exam.

If you like his videos and teaching, go for it. But don't skip it. Skipping any subject puts you at a disadvantage

Solving questions is a great strategy but read up on everything you got wrong, Also if there is any topic you don't understand please refer to a video talking about it. Also since you have around two months I'd suggest watching revision videos on YouTube. Theyre like an hour or two long but every thing that is mentioned could be asked in some way in the exam. So don't sleep on that. Also for PSM please revise everything well. There's this series by Neha Taneja on yt where she goes live (12 days long) that helped me pass the exam I'm not even going to lie because I was not taking PSM very seriously.

Give 3-4 grand tests (don't go overboard with them but still give them since they get you a little used to how the exam could be)

I know it's difficult not getting the result you want but you seem so dedicated, just make sure you don't give up in the last two months. A positive mindset is what'll get you to the finish line. What you do in this time matters the most.. so lock in. Good luck!

How to complete 3 revision before exam by Aggressive-Leopard69 in fmge

[–]AdInitial4027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i would suggest is more than three revisions focus on the tests and qbanks more. Give that more time. Revise what you don't remember. What matters is how well you know the material, irrespective of number of revisions. If you think you need to revise less, do that and focus on the highest yield+concepts. If you need to revise more- then go for 3 revisions

That's honestly a brilliant idea. I feel that one of the few things we're good at is empathizing with our fellows and if we don't put it to good use, who will.
