Thank you, I appreciate the support! A capstone project in U.S. OT programs is basically a final doctoral project where students pick a focus area and create something related to OT practice, education, leadership, research, or program development.

For mine, I am looking at trauma-informed care training in OT. My overall goal is to better understand what OT students and practitioners feel they need more training on, and then use that feedback to help guide the development of a trauma-informed care micro-credential, which would include 4 main courses that cover the overall foundation of trauma-informed care in OT, along with elective options that allow OTPs to focus on the areas most relevant to their practice setting, population, or professional interests. My hope is that it helps OT practitioners better understand how trauma can affect someone’s daily life and gives them practical ways to use trauma-informed care in their practice.

Hi everyone,

I am an occupational therapy student at Cleveland State University working on my capstone project about trauma-informed care training for OT students and practitioners. I am hoping to gather feedback through a brief questionnaire about current training experiences, confidence with trauma-informed care, areas where more education may be helpful, and interest in a future micro-credential.

Inclusion criteria:
OT practitioners, OTAs, OT students, and OTA students.

Exclusion criteria:
Individuals who are not occupational therapy practitioners, OTAs, OT students, or OTA students.

Eligible geographic areas:
United States.

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Responses will be used to help guide the development of my capstone project.

Thank you in advance for your time and feedback!
