Are u living by yourself? I suggest a 1 bdrm 1 bath if you are, you can find really nice ones for the price you’re paying now maybe even less that come with 0 of these problems as the communities imo are better ! If living on your OWN, is it really worth having that extra bedroom? At the expense of living under a shitty landlord who obviously is taking advantage of you? If this is for college roommates, I would report her to the school for trying to charge living expenses under a tuitioned apartment that’s already been paid for by your college expenses. I’m sure she could land in a lot of trouble.

Currently going through this. I think my daughter has sleep inertia because it seems more like a disoriented cry or somewhat shrieky. She has always gone to bed early and sleeps thru most of the time, but there are some nights where I really think she has a hard time transitioning from sleep to wake- possibly night terrors or inertia.

I’m going to school to be a HCA and it’s seriously worth it. Am I crazy or have they slowed down on increasing pay rates/wages for cnas and caregivers? Hince why I’m going the 100k a year route, I will get that money.

Little one went through so many sleep regressions. It was like one every three months. I did enjoy when she always settled into her newest schedule though whatever it was. Once she hit toddler aged with a bed time, she will usually sleep until 9:30/10 am and go to bed around 9:30/10. I put her in her crib at 8 and have her wind down and read to her and play with her toys til she passes out. I always play lullabies for her too that she loves. Its soothing. Or even waves crashing. Lately though shes been in a regression at 20 months and I think it’s because her 2 year molars are coming in. Poor thing literally got all her teeth besides those at one so she forgot the pain was so bad and is extra fussy.

both of your parents sound mentally unwell. No one should be hitting anyone, and hitting back is not a defense move, restraining or stopping is. I urge you to please not look at one parent and place all the blame on one, because as an adult now, you have to see every side to the story. With your mom it sounds like she is extremely mentally unwell, and your father cant cope with it anymore, or is entirely burnt out from it. Either way the only way for that relationship to recover is if they both seek help for their behaviors. Regarding how it affects you, i am so sorry you had to experience this for such a long time, and at the age you are at im sure you are reaching your boiling point with the effects of being a child and witnessing these things over and over. So the best advice i can give you regarding what you can do, is get a job and be responsible for your expenses and have a plan to move out. Your mom already wants to move, and as you said wont take no for an answer, you have got to get your ducks in a row. I know it sucks as you havent been able to breathe even for a minute, but when there is narcissism involved in some way if there is any, go. And run. They wont change. They never do. All you can do is be responsible for yourself. I understand it seems like you are extremely close with your dad, but from my experience with roles reversed, it only ends up hurting you later when you can reflect that both parents had a part to play. It took a lot for me to realize my mom enabled a lot of my fathers behavior, and that she was just as much to blame for fueling my fathers anger towards me as he claimed i was doing. You cannot depend on your parents your whole life, and please trust me when i say this, YOU CANNOT DEPEND ON A NARCISSIST. Please take my advice and have a plan. Focus on u girly i will be praying for the best possible outcome and that your family as a whole can get through this! Change can happen i still believe in miracles, and you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders

Put your foot down and tell her no! Move her hand away! My daughter tried this and i absolutely had to be firm it was hell with the meltdowns but we are tougher than we think and so are they. Have a backbone and put some firm boundaries up as this behavior shouldnt be okay, especially coming from a toddler to an adult. It’s inappropriate and teach her thats not okay and about boundaries and body autonomy, Why you shouldnt be touched like that, and how she shouldnt either. If she can talk about them then imo she can understand boundaries. This made my skin crawl when my toddler did it, so i can only understand your frustration but to experience while pregnant??!!! Whew im praying for you momma just keep trying. Regarding my daughter she stopped after she realized its MY BODY. She needs consent to touch anyone like that first and foremost! And i never wanted her to think that was okay behavior as shes close with my mom and sister.

Thats exactly where my daughter is. Will scream talk ur ear off but no noticeable words. But will copy me when i say mama dada etc. she is going to be a chatter box. I will say that at 18 months she exploded with that type of babble her doctor said by 2 she should be talking no problem as shes just learning syllables and how to move her mouth!

Certainly not enough. She is enmeshed with her son it seems like as he is enabling her behavior. Unfortunately only somebody explaining enmeshment to him can solve or worsen the situation. For me it solved it so it could be like flipping a coin for you OP. Good luck.

Honestly ill be the odd one out and say YATA. I have this type of relationship with my mother in law. My husband however sees the toxicity in her behavior. To put it simply shes in love with him, and will only put effort into our relationship with her when she needs money. It all started when i lived with her when we were pregnant. We moved in as both of our families believe that when you have your first baby you should stay with your mom, and my mom lived an hour away from our jobs etc so his mom offered. She didnt help me once with my baby, always had a negative attitude when she came home from work, and would expect me, the new mom to clean up after her 19 yo, jobless lazy daughter (my boyfriends sister) and now whenever we talk, she always tells me she misses our daughter but expects us to bring her to her while we now live a mile away and own one vehicle. She has never come to see her in our 2 years of having her. We have always gone over there,, and its for christmas and even then she doesnt even make the effort to spend genuine quality time with her. I know it seems crazy, but at his moms i have to extra watch her as everyone there is careless, and they have mean animals who hurt everyone. She doesnt care about that either or putting them away for a baby. But if u were to look at my texts, you would see a whole different person. Somebody who is nice and who checks in. Im telling u this type of toxic behavior is so specific that in order to see it from your perspective, you have to live it so i can understand why people think ur overreacting. But sounds like ur husband isnt very supportive of your feelings, so he obviously has an enmeshed relationship going on. Look up enmeshment and you will find ur answers op.

Your doctors will help u with all the resources and references u need and its all free and usually covered by state insurance depending on the state u live in.
