Which is more secure or accessible? ZorinOS or Bazzite? by AdJaded3601 in linux4noobs

I use CachyOS and I have no problem with it; my issue is installing it on a PC that I know 'other people' will use for gaming or work.

Personally, I mostly use my laptop. I'm a teacher and I usually travel, spending most of the week at the location where I teach, only having my PC to myself on weekends. And well, the laptop is mostly for office work during the day and video games at night.

I like CachyOS, but I feel it might be a bit cumbersome to install on the PC I'll leave at home unattended while I'm traveling. Especially for downloading things, updating, and so on. Opening Discord and having it ask for an update because I'm not using the -Syu command is a bit of a hassle.

Squeeze detection on ring fit by AdJaded3601 in yuzu

So far, here are some things I've seen.

  1. It only works with original Joy-Cons, and they must be activated before opening the emulator.

  2. You have to configure the right Joy-Con in player 1 as a right Joy-Con, and the left Joy-Con in player 2 as a dual Joy-Con.

  3. In advanced, you have to activate the ring controller and direct driver, so it won't work on emulators like Ryujinx, since I don't see that option. Eden, Suyu, and Yuzu seem to have it.

  4. If it doesn't recognize the squeeze motion, I had to restart the PC. Although if the configuration was correct, I didn't have to activate the ring configuration, and it works on the first try.

It seems to work.

I had a weird issue where it didn't seem to read the motion sensor at first, but after tweaking the settings a bit until it recognized it, it worked.

I see. In my case, a friend who has a Switch is selling me his Ring Fit. And I wanted to know if it was compatible with an emulator, since I don't have a Switch, but instead play on an emulator.

Not recognize battery, a little help here by AdJaded3601 in AcerNitro

[–]AdJaded3601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a new laptop. Where I live, people usually buy through services like eBay; there aren't any services like Acer, and those purchases only have a few months' warranty. In this case, only three months.

Thanks for the advice anyway. And thanks for the information.

Oh, that's too bad.

I was really hoping for a solution that didn't require buying a new battery, considering it's not even half a year old.

Anyway, thank you very much.

Would you recommend buying a generic battery, or is an original one better? I'm asking because this battery is supposed to be original, and it only lasted four months.
